the FS grind FULLY is 18weeks
the FRS system is being remade and is expected around december, the reason the FRS was taken off becase it was buggy, the FRS will be back after other bugs and issues are resolved, 3months in you have no idea what the game is really about, you have no idea what the road to jedi was, and imo dont have enough experience to become a jedi and not get owned by every BH out there, you seem like your 6-10 years old and i wouldnt doupt if you actually say ' OMG i want jeedi n0w, give me my jeedi n0w 0r i will leave the g@me'
I have been around since launch. It took me 25 weeks to get my jedi once I really wanted to do it. The FRS has been disabled to be reworked. You will hear the term "Fight Clubbing" when you hear about how it was Pre Cu. I for one am glad they are taking their time to redo it to cover all bases and prevent things from the past happening again. To be honest, it is something you should not be worried about at this point. It does take 15 weeks min (for the die hard Power Gamer) to finish the village min. They give the span of 3 weeks to make it feasible to all players, power and casual to have ample time to unlock the quests. Not everyone can jump on for 5 hours everyday. 25 weeks is a good outlook in that you can get the trees you actually want instead of the 6 quickest that most go for now. Gizmo's idea has been around for a while now. Many embrace the ideas and wish it would happen that way. SOE doesnt listen to the masses unfortunately.

So let me get this straight...SOE has replaced coherant quests and fun Jedi related material with a absolutely rediculously long grind, along with 3 week waits to make it "challenging" (right...its real hard to sit on my ass for three weeks)....to the point where its NO fun...and to top it off...you can't progress once you finish it?!?
Why am I still paying 15 a month for this thing?

Did I say I wouldn't wait? No..I'm pretty sure it read "But I can deal with that"...wow you must have some kind of cool dynamic update Message Board that changes what the messages say as they're read...neat-o.
I also didn't say I was "bored", I just heard the call of the Jedi..I mean come on...its just damned cool. I also never said I was a BH for three months, I've been playing for three months, meaning I've only been a MBH for about 2 weeks or so. Meaning I never even got to see the named BH terminals, and yes, I've had my ass handed to me by many full temps, but I've also defeated my fair share of Paddies, Knights, (but no Masters...heh). From the sounds of it, people need to stop being so damned hostile.
And once again, I hear about there being "knowledge" needed...from the fact you haven't put very many coherant sentences together...you lack that.
Parents lap comment- Wow...just....wow...it seems like every 15 year old in this forum who hears something they don't like accuses somebody else of....being a 15 year old...heh.
And finally..."invest some time into learning the way the game is run"...who runs the game? Is it you? How does one learn how a game with no real set of ethics or rules is "run". I'm pretty sure I understand the path to Jedi, if thats what you're saying I learn....in which case I will call you...a pompous dirtbag

unlocking a branch does not mean getting the xp for it. when you unlock the branch, youhave 1.225 mil FS xpyou need to get to fill the branch. there something to do.it is an18 week minimum, which is pretty fast. itsimpatiantnubs like you who whine all the time which aggrivates me, if you dont know the info, you make up info and tell yourself it is right. you dont like what you made up, so you come here to the forums to whine.you have to get like 7.5 mil or so FS xp to get jedi, go along and do that inbetween phase changes. the 3 weeks was to regulate between power gamers and the casual gamer.
FRS was taken off because people would exploit their way through it. fightclubbing was an exploit. they are fixing CU bugs before new content, you need to realize that. they are doing this in large part because that is what a lot of ppl wanted.
3 weeks was NOT to make it challenging. where are you getting this completely wrong info?
a while ago, before the cu and beforeyou were here, the other way to get jedi involved a lot of grinding too, and the grinding was usually of professions you didnt want to do.

dude, do you really think that they are going to leave it as padawan is the highest rank you can get?...NO...I flamed (not the person but the message content) because people have no patience anymore. We live in a microwave society where whatever we want we can get at the push of a button. Noone cooks with crockpots anymore.... cook it for 18 hours and it comes out awesome. (just an analogy).... Just relax, FRS will come back at some point.... Personally I think you are a little foolish to look at FRS when you still have to kill 23 gazillion Bols and Pikets. You are putting the cart before the horse.
and as far as your comment that you defeated knights.....that is incirrect.... since FRS has gone offline there are no knights, guardians or masters.... True some have the title.....(they were allowed to keep the title under the old system) but they have no bonuses that would normally come with the rank. So, if you defeated some Jedi, they were all padawans.
and finally, as to my comment on learning how the game is run..... Did you learn to drive saying who runs this vehicle?....who is in charge?....etc....no. You had to learn how the vehicle worked.....you did not just get in and BAM! were a nascar driver....you had to learn the little details that made the vehicle run (or maybe a better word is perameters) You have to learn what you can and cant do in the game. Believe it or not,....there is alot of detail in hunting animals in their liars. Did you know that if you stand 55 meters or closer to a Krayt dragon while attacking it, it will regen its health...(you probably knew that)....but did you know that if you are 56 meters or farther out it will not. and the closer you get to the creature the faster it will regen?....did you know that if you drag a monster approx 250 meters away from its spawn point it will retreat? It is things like that that I said you need to learn....not the "this is the way the devs operate this game"...... But oh well.....so many lack the patience to hear such things.... I guess ignorance truly is bliss

Ohhh, and before you even begin to complain about how boring it is........ try doing the crafting grinds.
