Thread: Are you tired of this also?

I'm not going to come on here and complain that there are too many jedi blah blah blah. That doesn't bother me. I know it doesn't fit with the timeline but if people play to be a jedi, then let them play.

The part that bothers me is that I have guildees and other players constantly asking me to help them kill sith. A lot of these players are CL 40 and below. They get help on every FS requirement and mission. Aren't jedi supposed to be good warriors? I am tired of low CL's asking for help with FS stuff. Don't get me wrong...I love helping people in the game. I have given millions of credits and items away to other players. It just bothers me a little that a CL 29 wants me to do their FS missions and questsfor them.

I think that they should put a minimum CL on FS..possibly CL 60. At least they have a good chance to kill sith. I know I know....what about the crafters that want to be jedi? Sorry but if a crafter can't kill a chuba I don't think they would make a very good jedi.

They wouldn't make a very good warrior jedi. Crafting and healing jedi also exist, and, though they'd take a LOT longer to grind, (being a crafting FS myself), they do have a role and purpose in the game, even if most players want the "fast track."

I happen to believe that I'll make a fine crafting/healing jedi, even if I can't kill a chuba!

Lets face it, this profession needs some serious attention, (quality attention as compared to what the game has received of late), however forcing non warriors to become warriors first, just so we can return to being non warriors afterwards is a perceived step in the wrong direction.

However I'll remember never to ask you for help killing something...

Even CL60 aren't tough enough for the sith shadows, since they're CL70-CL77. I think I'll wait until I get to CL75 or above before I attempt the village.

lol, don't know if they got a bump from when I unlocked FS, but I unlocked right after the village was implimented, like day 2 or 3 of it. I 1hitted ALL my sith. An area attack. Did they get stronger before the cu, I know they are cl 70+ now as my crafter buddy got the old man to come without trying and needed a bodyguard until the sith came

The Sith were easier before the CU, everyone was kicking off when they were first made cl76+after the CU because they were so much harder.

I agree with one of theprevious posts about there being healer and crafterJedi, who shouldn't be expected to beat cl76 sith. However, once they passthe Padawan trials they have access to some of the most powerful combat skills available in the game, so they go from having no combat skills/experience to having access to the best of those skills.

I think there should be different types of jedi 'professions'eg Combat/Healer/Craftsmen with a different set of skills available to each. The crafters would not have to defeat theSith to gain access to the village but they would also not have access to combat force powers, but instead have a different set of crafting powers, for example.

/cough

Not all crafters want to be Jedi. Some crafters "just" want to complete the crafting skills trees of FS so they become more potent in their ways. They can just remain CL 1 and be the best FS crafters in the galaxy.

/agree

I soloed the sith and (so far ) all of my village quests. Not bragging, just a pride thing really. I don't mind giving advice but i'm not going to Tank a mission for someone when it can be soloed easily. It would be quite different if they were a CL 80 or a vet player and still getting beat.

Assumptions:

Everyoneonly does theFS/Village to be a jedi - wrong

Jedi do nothing but kill ppl (in the movies, wrong.. in the game, mostly, but there are some exceptions) - wrong

Your CL is an indication of your "skill and ability" - utterly wrong

As for the sith pre-cu, you killed them?! Wowsers!... an Ent friend of mine killed them with the unarmed auto attack that used to happen, while she was getting a drink in RL, came back to 3/4 health and 2 dead sith.. they had 400 HAM! Nothing like the CL1 destroyers they are now.

Crafters can do the village, they just need some combat friends to help them OR be able to drive a swoop round red dots (ok, I know lag can be an issue here too), which in a good guild is never a problem. Theproblem isnew players who ARE going for cl80 and want to be killer-jedi.. but after SOE's new intro has flat out told them, 1 day you WILL be a jedi and the first thing they've seen in Eisley is probably 3-4 show boating saber wielders, is it any wonder they're impatient to get started before they're really ready?
