Thread: Question: Phase I PERSUASION Required Skills?

I really wanted to get the PERSUASION FS line and I'm a little unclear on a couple of things.

1.) The revamp guide states that I will need "Master Doctor's Medicine Crafting (Doc:0004)" in order to craft the cures. However CU Docs don't craft medicines. Am I to assume that I need BE now? This is kinda important since I can respec my toon for whatever I need but I don't want to respec wrong and have to start re-grinding when Phase I rolls around.

2.) Do I need to actually craft the medicines in order to unlock or do I just need to cure the initial 5 villagers to unlock the FS branch? If I can just have an alt or guildie craft the medicines then my other question really doesn't come into play. Has anyone unlocked PERSUASION by using medicine crafted by someone else?

Any help would be appreciated.

I too only have to unlock persausion to finish the village. Right now I am Master Doc, TKM with sever FS Boxes. At the moment I am -14 skill points. I am at the Dath Science Out post and can not move since I am negative in skill points. I need to know if I need to respec to BE to craft the meds for this quest or do I stay Master Doc. Please help us!

I'd really like an answer for this as well. This is the last quest I need to do to unlock, and I must say I am very nervous about this whole situation. I have a feeling that they will change the quest to more of a Doctor/Combat medic quest that just involves using bacta moves and whatnot. If they made it Bio-Eng, they would have to assume that they took up more medic and could use the packs they made as well. So hopefully All us Combat Medics or Doctors will be safe

What would really suck is for the end of May to roll around and then we have to grind out BE or Doc or something when we could have just respeced right now.

Pre-CU, you needed a certain level (master medic) to even take the mission, but you could use heals/cures made by other doctors doing the quest. On Kettemoor, we've had doctors that were also doing the quest that have made extras and sold them. The limit seemed to be whether you had the skills to take the quest, not whether you could craft the items directly yourself. There was no level limit on using the cures either.

I brought this up on the CU beta boards but never got an official response of any kind.

Sorry I couldn't have been more help but I tried.
