Thread: Best Profession or Template to have as Starting Jedi?

What would everyone suggest as the best template or profession to have when you first unlock? I hear Teras Kasi Master, or Doctor, but I would appreciate a professional, or even Jedi opinion.

i would agree except that doc is more useful for buffs than heals. the heals can save you from dying, but they will take away from your jedi xp. for example, if you are using your saber to kill a mob and are forced to heal yourself, your xp will be divided between doc xp and jedi xp.

Isn't the innate armor cancelled out though because of Jedi innate armor? Or am I wrong?

not sure

but you'll at least want to get another elite profesion

so you could like 1.2 mil xp max for that

for example

tkm mdoctor swords 4000 or somthing

I am grinding fs xp. I plan on holding onto TKM as long as I can because of the TIA and CoB. I should be able to hold onto most of my Swordsman specials and just keep enough Medic to heal myself, but I've got a long way to go before I have to worry about that. I just started this phase.

I did it with TKA back in the day. I almost unlocked my second Jedi, but I doubt I will do the grind again, but if I do I would start out as a CL1 with no other combat abilities than Jedi because it will be a challenge and challenges = fun

WhileHealing and Buffingwould be nice... would Master Teras Kasi (I'm leaning towards keeping only one elite profession when I "transfer over" to the Jedi side) be the most efficient? It seems as though the Defender Innate Armor would not work alongside with the Teras Kasi Innate Armor, but if I am going to be working up the Lightsaber tree first, wouldn't it be nice to have some type of armor since I will be weak anyway, and I won't want to split up my experience between Doctor and Jedi?

Just my thoughts.

Oy so you guys are even recommending that I keep 2 of my elite professions? And then drop them as I go? Interesting indeed.

I might suggest TKM for the COB and TIA, definitely some medic if not doctor for the heals until you get better Force Healing skills, and perhaps novice Entertainer to keep your inspiration buffs hence XP bonus topped up without having to find an entertainer.
