Ok i see many many people still get confused on what boxes, tress, and branches are. Hopefully this will clear it up for you who are confused.
Ok. There are the 4 main trees. Combat is one of the trees. Now inside the combat tree are 4 branches. 1 branch consists of 4 boxes. You must fill the 4 boxes up in 1 branch to have "unlocked or finished" that branch.
You need 6 branches to complete the village. So you can do it any way you like. You can do the 4 branches in the Combat tree and 2 in another or whatever.
Now a lot of new people to the village hear 24 boxes which is true in a way but they think they can just do let's say 2/2/2/2 (in combat) 2/2/2/2 in an other and so on. So yes it is 24 boxes but they need to == 6 branches.
The easiest way to know what to do is using the branches method of telling people or doing. 6 and you are done.
So to sum up trees are the 4 main skills offered in the village. The branches are the fields inside that tree and the boxes are those that make up the branch.
Reason i write this is because i have seen many people get confused easily and have seen people describe it confusing so i hope this helps though who are unsure still or some what confused.

I just know I was confused in the beginning because i was lucky to get in day 1 of the village.Plus lately in group chats people get saying different things confusing the person asking the questions so i just figure i would try to make it as easy as possible for them.

Ok I know what the trees are and the branches but I see no boxes. Talking about boxes and not giving an exaple probably just confused most of us that were not confused in the first place.Please elaborate.
this is what I know already.
Tree Branches
Ranged Accuracy
Combat Prowess- Ranged Speed
Melee Accuracy
Melee Speed
What are the boxes?

the boxes are the four "boxes" that make up the "branch" of melee speed or whatever "branch" you are looking to complete..

Perhaps skill boxes within the branch would of helped clarify some people's questions?

Ok for boxes they are the 4 recatangle things that make up the trees. For example TKA 3/0/0/0 would mean 3 boxes done in the meditation branch. Once you are at 4/0/0/0 then you have 4 boxes to complete the 1 branch of the tree.
So for fs stuff let's use the Combat Prowess tree. 4/0/0/0 would mean you have completed 1 of the 6 branches to complete the village. (that is 4 boxes in a row that make up the branch)

OK, i undertsand all the boxes and trees thing, but i don't understand where the missions from the npc's come into play. I have done one mission for Whip (now says i need to get 5 more crates of supplies), but can't you just spend the 50k fs xp and start going up that enhanced reflex tree immediately? Am i just doing the missions to get some pretty baubles and a banner that waves? Or does he actually unlock something when i finish all his missions?
Please clear this up. Thanks!

Well for a rundown you could look at like as if you were grinding a normal profession.
There are 4 FS Professions
CraftingMastery, Enhanced Reflexes, Combat Prowess, and Heightened Sences.
Each of those FS Professions have 4 trees/Branches within just like a Normal Profession.
The debating question you proposed is do you need 24 boxes or do you need to fill 6 of the branches both are basically the same.
The thing that gots me thinking about the 24 boxes is there are 16 branches.
Those who recieved all of their unlocks only received 6 branch unlocks.
If you only need 24 boxes why didn't they receive all 16 unlocks?
Of course if you have no free unlocks Unlocking all 16 branches would take quite awhile, 4 complete cycles of the village.
I would think that someone who did it with 2/2/2/2, 2/2/2/2, 1/1/1/1, 1/1/1/1 Should be able to geta jedi as the time involved in doing that is very long.
Everyone says to fill 6 Branches/Trees as it's the quickest way to get 24 Boxes
