This was originally going to be a reply to the "If we really wanted to keep Jedi rare..." thread, but I'm wondering how many other people busting their @ss just to unlock feel the same way I do. So here goes:
Funny how the people who already have Jedi are, and always have been (since original holo grinding) the ones to come up with the crazy ideas like: "Let's make them complete 100 quests at one quest per week cap!"
You've joined the hundreds who already have a Jedi and all of the sudden you are a strong proponent of closing the door. Honestly, it makes you all look all too Republican. (Wealth for everyone, until I get mine!)
As someone who has been playing (and more importantly PAYING SUBSCRIPTION) since day 1 and missed both occassions to unlock by just a hare: (Was on sabbatical for the easy hologrind, Work and a haywire computer stopped me about nine months ago at 14 professions, would have unlocked before the Village patch.) I've got to say that I DESERVE, (yes you heard correctly, DESERVE) a fair shot this time, without interruption, at unlocking my Jedi. (i.e. another FSXP, village quest, FS unlocking system change.)
I've got three more trees to grind, allow me that, allow us all the chance to grind what we've got. Do not change xp, do not change the system, if you want to penalize the Jedi population to make them more rare, penalize the existing population, for once, instead of the myriads just trying to unlock to experience Jedi a little, not to become an uber Master Jedi killing every normal player in his or her path. (After the grind to unlock, many don't have it in them to keep grinding to Jedi Knight.)
Making existence as an actual Jedi more difficult I can live with, tugging on that proverbial carrot AGAIN, I and I know many others, will not.
I can only follow that carrot so far, if SoE intends to make me choose ANOTHER year of my life grinding away just to experience Jedi, or simply no Jedi at all (after I've already worked harder than most of the L337s some of which only had to grind at most, 8 professions.) I will cancel, I will simply cancel. In that instance, it's would not be worth it to me, thanks for wasting my time SoE, ciao.
It's not like there aren't other MMOs, I can always try The Matrix Online, or maybe I can take up golfing. Lord knows even that will be more exciting and take less time than an EVEN LONGER FSXP grind. :-P.

I did.....so i got myself 4000 commando in two days and 'naded' for the win.
300k FS a day is not unrealistic at all and you still have a month left. Its really very much simpler.
But on a side note - where does it actually say that the grind will be so much harder. Don't panic.
And remember Jedi is supposed to be difficult.

You being serious?
If for even a minute they'd even consider this, I'd have to stop playing SWG because I'd be too busy helping tounfreeze hell.

No. This is the same type of complaint people had when they said they were changing from hologrinding to the greatly "improved" quest-based system (/sarcasm off). People moaned and groaned and threatened to cancel their accounts and then the new system was put in, it was documented and stickied a few months later andpeople found the best way to grind FSxp and our virtual lives have continued (and there was much rejoicing....yay). The same can be said with this change - people will moan and groan, the system will change, and people will again figure out how to beat it. Too many people are looking forward to these changes which will help to balance the "entire" game - not just your little FS grind. Seeing that everyone pays for their subscription (that's a lame @ss arguement), they have to do what they feel is best for the betterment of the whole rather than the betterment of Joe Shmoe's grind to Jedi or Tom and Jane's uber PvP templates. No one is forcing me or you to spend 19 hours playing this game for our Jedi - that's our choice (yes it is) because Jedi and the FS system will still be here after the CU. Will it be harder? Perhaps, but then this game has never been geared toward the casual gamer - most MMORPG's aren't..not right, but that's just how it is.

you need to be using an html enabled browser, such as IE (not firefox). then simply write your sig using the colours and fonts you want in the reply window to any random post. once your sig looks like you want it to, click the "view as html" button at the bottom of the post. copy and paste all the html to the sig bit in your profile et voila, a nice colourful sig
