I believe it is very foolish to become FS before lvl 70-80. Why? Because it is FOOLISH! Enjoy the game before setting your heart on Jedi unless you're Jedi crazy(like me). Get to like lvl 80 before you become FS. Here's a list of reasons.

1. You need to observe other Jedi before becoming one. See if it is really what you want to become.

2. Enjoy SWG! Who knows maybe you'll like something better.

3.If you are too low CL you will get destroyed by Siths.

4. It will be easier to cap if you are CL 80 because you will get more exp and cap faster because it takes a lot of exp.

5. Do you really wanna be the weakest Jedi in all of SWG. Come on, become as powerful as possible.

6. And, not to forget, BH's!!!! Hello they kill Jedis! Doesn't matter Light or Dark. BH'S LIVE TO KILL ANY AND ALL JEDI.

7. Lastly, you have to be an experienced player. One who knows there way around adn won't get lost.

Really? From what I've seen lately this statement is totally FALSE!

This a opinion not a command. A suggestion, but a wise suggestion.

Please give up the notion that Combat Level = Knowledge of the game. My character on Tarquinnas was a CL1 Crafter for his entire early existence (the first few months after the game came out). I mastered DE, Merchant and Artisan and had a thriving businessgoing for a while there. Then I got bored and left the game. When I returned for the CUI respecced to various combat trades and other professions (trying outvarious combinations ofRifleman, Carbineer, Pistoleer, Bounty Hunter, Creature Handler, Bio-Engineer, Doctor, Ranger, Musician, Dancer, Entertainer, Image Designer, TKA, and Shipwright. Some of them multiple times, and some of these I had already mastered on my own either on other servers or earlier in my career). I enjoyed the respec very much, and it let me try out all sorts of options and professions. After the respec was done I decided to give Weaponcrafting a try, and I am now a Weaponcrafter/Merchant.

I have been CL80 mulitple times during the respec, and as I am now FS, I will be again. It is so easy to switch careers in this game that you cannot judge someone solely by their current CL, its meaningless. Now, as for your assertion that its better to try out various professions before you decide you want to become yet another Clone Jedi, I agree. From my perspective any other proffession seems preferable since Jedi is so utterly FOTM atm. As for getting to CL80 first, yeah I agree with that as well since the devs have ensured that the Jedi path is all about combat and nothing but the combat and thus you need all the combat skills you can muster.

I am making a padawan for the free alt slot, not to be a Jedi. I will be forced to give up my Crafting skill to do so I expect although I am hoping I can avoid that if possible. Crafting is far more interesting than almost any other element of this game, which is essentially rather dull otherwise for me. I am sure if I went Jedi I would find it interesting while I pursued it - andI might still I suppose - but I would want to respec out of it when I was done because there is no reason to be a high level Jedi and its certainly not much to boast about when everyone has one

Ok, Ok, i give up you guys win. Maybe the last statement was a little irrevalent but some of those reasons still stand by me. I'm not trying to bring anyone down from there dreams. I'm just making logical statements that maybe useful for some people. I don't want to crush anyone's dreams, I just want to show that it might make things easier if your CL is a little higher, that's all. Because, as a matter of fact, I want to become a Jedi Knight. I just thought if some people who are aching to become Jedi and will get it at CL 1 might throw away the whole gaming experience. I'm just saying explore different things. Once again, this a suggestion. I'm not commanding anyone to do this because that is not fair. I'm just asking players who are brand new to explore the wide world of SWG.

P.S. If i have affended anyone by this message i am very sorry and wish the best in your path to Jedi.

May the Force be with you.... And may it be with you in your paths, travels, and exploration. Thank You...

No. 5 tip isn't too hot either

Its best being CL 80 during the FS grind but once you've done the exit quest (Mel) and done the trials, it can be a nightmae to then grind Jedi - My Jedi char was Level 60 somthing after CU, was still just a novice padawan using a training LS, had no Jedi skills whatsoever. Couldn't even defeat low CL lairs, like CL 19, as my CL didn't represent my Jedi CL, which was 1, so respecced to Master Architect/Chef, became CL 1, and was able to attack stuf and get some XP, now increasing my CL through Jedi, currently CL 19, and dropping those crafting skils for Jedi.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You're out of time, SOE The whole 2.5 months shouldn't have been. The game was fine up until Nov 15th. If the CU was worked on, instead of devoting time to the NGE (including the many months prior to November), the game could possibly be totally bug free by now.

My account cancels on 2nd Feb, which was a waste as only played game for 1 day to get the life day gifts, will be resubbing when creature handler, Bio-engineer, scout, and ranger return, oh and the FS village.

At the time i was'nt thinking straight. I had just read a forum about CL 1 people in the village and was kinda mad at that. Because i think you sould try to get higher CL so you can cap faster. Ok, most of these reasons are very irrelavent, but some of them are true and wise. Like i said before I'm trying to give advice. Trying to help the SWG community. But, I guess no one agrees with at least some of these statements. I now know that some of those statements were very foolish and i think one was selfish. I'm not trying to be selfish or foolish. I'm just trying to help. But, I guess I did'nt. I did not mean to crush dreams or hurt feelings. If i have, I am deeply sorry and wish you the best.

Not everyone is going after the combat lines. There are healing and crafting lines if you didn't know.

This is the FORCE SENSITIVE forum.

If you have issues with "low CL people pursuing Jedi" perhaps you should go post your drivel and tripe over on the JEDI Forum where it belongs.

There are plenty of us working through force sensitivity skills for reasons OTHER than to become the uber-l33t-FOTM-jehd3y3

There's 1001 different ways to play this game - keep your l33t "I'm a CL80 nyah nyah I know better than u" bantha poodoo to yourself.

Noob. Since when does "becoming FS" equate to "setting your heart on Jedi" ? They're two completely separate things, only vaguely connected through some goofy paddy-whan trials.
