Oy. I'm new to this whole FS thing. Been poking around the FAQs here and there, trying to glean some info without getting too many spoilers (I like to figure things out on my own where possible; makes it more challenging and fun).
However, I'm curious about something. I got the visit from the old man not long ago, then the sith jumped me last night. I owned them, took the datapad, and got the WP to the village.
So I go get buffed (because Dathomir isn't safe when you're not going to weird villages in the middle of nowhere) and head out there. I arrive, wander in, and proceed to be attacked left and right by NPCs. I kill one, then run out to where there's some other players fighting, figuring I can get some help.
In stellar style, these guys let me get owned, although they were happy to use me as a short-term tank while they healed up.
Anyway, I cloned and went back to Tatooine. This is obviously a combat-oriented "phase", and I'll finish mastering TKA and getting some other relevant skills (like maybe some medic)before I go back there. However, my question is this- are these Sith Shadow NPCs always there, and if so, how do you go about actually getting inside the village? In the short time I was there last night, I killed 4 or 5 of them, but by the time I got whacked, there were more there than when I started.
I suppose I could group up, but everyone else I know that's FS has left.
Thoughts, suggestions? I'm not looking for info on the specific content, just an idea as to whether I'll ever be able to actually get inside the village.
Thanks!

Oh man, I am sorry to be laughing so hard but your timing was just bad, this phase the siths are attacking every 2hrs as part of this phase, you should be able to get in when they are not around some time, but dont go there unbuffed for sure, not this phase anyways.
Normally its just a long boring drive, but theres some excitment there now with the missions going on to defend the village.

That's the best part- I was buffed to the gills- brandy, muon, canape and synthsteaktoo. It's the only reason I lasted as long as I did.
I'd have managed longer if the group of 6 people with a Jedi there had bothered to assist me, or even throw a stim on me.
I didn't mind getting owned. I did mind it when half a dozen members of my own faction seemed happier to let 7 or 8 of the NPCs aggro me and heal themselves while I'm getting my head handed to me.
Thanks for the info. I think I'll finish mastering TKA before moving forward, and I'll be a bit more cautious on the approach next time.

Yeah I had to keep killing guys just to trade in my experience, and then my alt doesnt stand much of a chance in there, no melee skills, I hope he can get the healing quest done in there, he will be popping syn steak and brandy and moun like crazy to keep up the heals.
Good luck on your quests and be sure that you understand everything, a mistake in taking a wrong mission could put you 3 weeks longer before you make jedi, I realistically think it will take me another year to make jedi, but as long as I am still having fun I dont mind much, but then I am also grinding two characters at the same time to jedi.

I was laughing because I could only imagine your first impression of the village being like that.

Yeah, I'm in no major hurry. I've got plenty to keep me busy, and I don't want to burn out on the Jedi grind. It's more something to do than a goal, if that makes sense. Between JtL and restarting my armorcrafting, I'll not lack for things to do.
Thanks for your help. ![]()

When I read his opening post I laughed too. If that had been my first time to the village I'd have been wondering what the heck?
Sad that members of your own faction didn't help out.....

P.S. = If you decide to wait help yourself by getting Master like you mention and just grinding out xp. YOU WILL NEED A BUNCH OF XP.

The outlaws and the pirates are fairly easy for buffed master elite combat players, but stay away from the the Sith Thugs if you have dont have help. Those players may have just ignored you, but sometimes especially if you are not in a big group, its hard to keep up as the wave continues. The thugs tend to accumlate.
If you go back to do the quest this phase, which will be for couple moreweeks, just join whatever pick up group there is at the time. To be honest, the current combat quests for the village are the most fun I have had in game in a long time. Tanks, soaking up damage riflemen hanging back and pounding the mind pool, and Docs, actually healing players in combat as opposed to being glorified steriod dispensers and the group working together, using tactics. Last night someone actually pictched a camp, and we got mind buffs from 2 seperate live players!

LOL, ya you got into the middle of thePhase IV village defense (Sarguillo's phase 4 quest). The sith attack the village & your suppose to defend it. The attacks will continue for atleast another 14 days, so you may want to becarefull the next time you decide to fly into the village. When it recycles back to Phase 1 the sith attacks will stop until it's Phase 4 again. LOL

Jimer... I am on the same server as you. I went to the village last night to trade in exp. I walk into the village and nothing agros me. It seems that as long as you dont do anything they dont agro you. This guy is fighting, I am thinking he is doing his mission and I don't interfere. Next thing he says can you help get that other outlaw? I said sure, I went over took out the outlaw went back and cashed in my exp and go to leave. That is when I get jumped by two outlaws two pirates and a thug. It was laughably funny. Needless to say I fought a valliant fight, but my mind buff had just worn out and so I died right there and had to be cloned. Saved me 10 minutes worth of speederbike flight though. If you need any help give me a send in game. I'll be glad to help as I can.
