Thread: Phase 4: Melee Defense question

Ok... I did this quest once before a few months back. Killed everything I needed too. None of the NPCs ever told meI had finished, and I was never allowed to train.


Now we are beck in Phase 4 again, and I can't take the mission. The Captain only offers me ranged.


My question is this:


When you finish this quest (which I assume I did), who are you supposed to talk too? I either missed something somewhere... or my quest is somehow broken. Thanks in advance for your help.

I didn't need to talk to anyone... right when I killed the last person I was done, but Captain Surguillo gives a new message when you finish.

Then I guess my next question is:


Why the heck can't I train? I have more than enough XP banked to get the first two boxes, but the branch isn't open for me to train.

Actaully there is a reward. LAst patch added a 5use stim which gives +10 melee defense for 5 minutes,

yea i have done the mission but i cant get the branch noldon dosent say i can learn it i have everything i need

Well now I feel a little better... it's not just me. That leads me to believe its a bug of some sort.
I've already submitted one /bug... guess I'll have to try some more... thanks for the responses guys.

I've had all my novice boxes unlocked for a long time so I know that's not the issue.

I am glad to hear other people are having issues. When phase 4 was here last time I failed to complete because it was right at the end of the phase and I was not planning on go up those trees so I never really pushed to finish it. Now when i talk to the captain he reponds to me like I already have the quest. I can't even get the quest to finish it has anyone else had this issue. This is the second to last quest before I amin to the trials. Its going to suck if I can't complete it and have to wait for two more phases. I summited a bug report but most likely they won't respond back.


I even tried killing all the all the sith need I sat there for 4spawns killing in a 8 man group and then went and spoke to him and he told me the same thing I must go back out and fight. My friend got the mission after me and he completed it but it never opened the tree up for him to train in.


I heard from some people this is SOE's way of slowing down the Jedi population.
