I unlocked today ...

I didn't grenade grind

I didn't rezz / db non-stop

I didn't grind a second combat template for the xp

... I simply went out and had fun Killed what I wanted to kill - Nightsisters, Krayts, Corvette runs, DWB, etc.

And now, with 200+ mill in the bank along with a museum full of the rarest & most expensive items and weapons I have unlocked.

Do yourselves a favor and get out of the grind mentality ... u're paying to play this game and to enjoy yourself. Do that.

I'm with you. I get, at most, about 130k FSXP a day, just goofing off. I tried the grenade thing (just to see what it was like) and it just wasn't any fun. I'm collecting loads of loot, though I'm sitting on it til after the CU. And I'm having fun while keeping my organics vendor stocked....

I won't make it before the CU, but then I don't see the CU making life too terribly difficult for me. I am a TK/Rifle, so I can cap out two xp types if I really want to, but its normally not worth the effort.

Fun is where its at. If I have to bore myself to death to make Jedi, it just isn't worth it.....

Pssh, I dont agree at all. I finshed my xp with grenades months ago, and have been enjoying the games content ever since. I like the idea of getting the work out of the way so you dont have to worry. As far as how much money and collectablesyou have, lol your a weaponsmith...and what does that have to do with the subject really...

But in some regards, in these last few months after getting my xp a long time ago. I have aquired quite a few supplies for lightsaber componants, which is the most useful. Many people have done what I have. Iwarn people that it is a big risk dragging out the grind without grenades or rezing...it can at times become very disheartening, sluggish, and seemingly endless.

Eh, but hey thats just my take on it, everyone does what they "think" is best for them...but if your serious about getting jedi, I would keep a serious work ethic as well. Best of luck to all of you, and i cant wait to unlock in less than a two weeks...

Congrats. I think this is a great achievement. Its a shame that most of us don't go this route - including me, because its exactly the way SOE intended it.

I tried with my first 2 lines and found that it was going to take me many months and decided to nade my way to the end. To be honest its worked out for the best because after all that quick xp I was able to go back to the game and enjoy it like you have but without the hassle of the FS xp grind in the back of my mind.

Whilst the system is good in principle very few people are able to have the patience to follow through like this and its because of this that this is impressive.

Congrats, this is the way I have been doing it. I have unlocked enough skills, now its just a matter of time, I have about 10 boxes left to fill XP for, I go out and hunt, have fun and when I cap hit the village, then go have more fun.

I am a casual grinder. I cap two weapons while capping combat. My FS grind is consistent . I bank FS XP until the third trip then train. Got 15 blocks in combat prowess done, andone third of melee speed 4 done. I have heightened senses and enhanced reflexes unlocked. Just a matter of 9 blocks for me. I will continue to grind thru BH weaponry. They seem to cap out quickly on most high level content. I use c12 grenades on occasion. The neat part for me is my alt is WS. I have thought about the 4000 commando route but I don't think it is worth the effort at this point. I prefer the content aspect of it.

Who said you had to respect us, or that we want your respect. Think about it this way no ones schedule is the same. I have played this game for a year on and off. I came back just because jedi is the last thing that interested me. Ive done most melee and ranged professions. So what is so bad about using grenades, either way I have had to 4+ months to unlock the branches, get ready for jedi, and at the same time have somewhat of a life.

Think before you call names or labeling people because they cant make this game their only priority. I have no other interests in any of the other combat prof besides jedi. So I'm gonna use my head and go the route of least resistance, because I deserve it. Take into consideration that I was around in the pre holo days and left because I found the path at the time to be ridiculous and cattered to rich people. But I easily could have ground out prof like most of the pre 9 unlockers(that is if i could get my hands on a damn holocron 3mil to buy one, pshhh), I am a power gamer by nature and I have no problem earning my own rewards. Heck I ground out all my FS XP for 6 branches in a week, that was 2+ buff session a day.

Some of you....

The path to Jedi is supposed to be a journey, not drudge work or financial support for your local weaponsmith....

The phases all last approximately 3 weeks which is what, 60k FSXP a day to keep up with the phase shifts? Thats 180k of combat xp per day, or if you want to get really techincal, capping out one combat profession xp and the resultant combat xp each day.

Not very difficult for a Master of a combat profession, andquite fun if done right.

Dragging out the FSXP accumulation isn't a burn out, sitting at a computer lobbing grenade after grenade at Baz Nitches is....

My brother is back to the game after around a year. He was a burn out, a victim of the Hologrind who finally gave up after 20 someodd professions. He was one step away from glowing after the Revamp and yet still walked away. Now that he's back, he's a few badges away from Jedi Padawan. He's also a Wookiee, which is one thing I haven't really seen yet, a Wookiee Jedi...once he hits the village, his free unlocks will put him right at Padawan, or one line from it which we all know is easy to get...

I don't want that to happen to me. I really enjoy this game and would hate to burn myself out. As it is now, when I feel the burnout coming on I'll step away for a few days, go fishing or just hang out with friends or even just veg in front of the TV...

Not everyones the same, some people can face the grind day after day without flinching. These people will make good office workers or programmers

While the intent of the Dev's was to give meaning to the path towards Jedi, they should have known that if it involved grinding xp, then grind xp is what will be done. The phase thing was a good idea on someones part, to put the brakes on people, but still...I see little difference in grinding this way versus grinding professions.
