I wonder why we couldn't convert that xp into FS xp...
After all, Pilot is a profession like every other prof, even if it doesn't require skillpoints, it requires time, and time is the main factor in FS conversion, right ?
So... I suggest a 50:1 ratio, and here's all the math...
Combat/reflex xp seems good to me, even if some people mentioned conversion in all FS xp, I don't see why you should get sense and crafting for it... That's a point of view though, with a craft like the famous millenium falcon you should get 98% craft xp (for the repair branch
), or when piloting a big ship (like why not the MP ones) you could get sense because if requires more though, commanding abilities, etc.
You can (according to master pilots) get 1 million Starship XP in 1 hour... Wich would be 20k FS xp.
Nice...
An elite combat prof can get easily 600k weapon xp + 60k combat xp, that would give a total 40k FS xp... (done a cap in 1 hour with TKM)
I ask that ratio for 2 reasons :
- make starship xp ONE way to get FS xp, but at no price THE way to get it (like grenades...)
- not to spoil anyone who raised FS xp by the other ways
On top of that no one can argue that it would make FS xp too easy to get that way... People could get 200k+ FS xp in 1 hour using grenades, and no one complained about it, but surprisingly, many did about converting starship xp into FS xp...
There have been several posts about it, this one is the petition, sign it

Yes and add starship crafting XP as well. Not that I care anymore. I did just finish my crafting XP grind (uggh 3 trees that is a lot of heavy warheads lol not to mention wasted resources)

I have to agree....although I understand the reasons against it. Its unfair to ppl without JTL blah blah blah! But i don't think you are at ANY disadvantage by not buying JTL because combat xp will always be the fastest.
I have seriously neglected JTL for now and really only use it to get to planets far quicker. But if I can take a break from regular grinding by getting up in space then I most definitely will! Even if the xp doesn't come as quickly.
It would also encourage more players to get back up into space...
So how can anyone really object???

Genius, heh, you deservethat name
5 stars for you
It's exactly what i want to say (but i said it countless times in the other posts, so dunno how to say it another way)
The point is to make people go in space instead of spammiong grenades on every living thing... And, yes, it's not forbidden, HAVE FUN even when gaining credit to FS
Oh, forgot to add it should be combat/reflex xp, but it seems obvious
On top of that it might make people buy JTL to change their way of grind
There are so many arguments for that conversion... And I've never met any good argument against that (even when doing the math for them, people said "but it would be too fast")

I think the reason is that you can get pilot without spending any skill points. So you can invest all your SP in non-combat skills and still unlock in combat related branches. Does not apply to shipwright XP though which take skill points like any other crafting profession.
But I still think you should be able to convert pilot XP. Juust make the onversion rates so it is not easier to unlock that way than any other.

At 50:1space xpwould be twice slower than ground combat xp... I think it will be right like that
The thing is just to add a new way to grind FS... Why wouldn't you be able to grind in space ? After all, devs always stated that you could be a jedi with any template... The fact it doesn't take skillpoints doesn't matter... Most people grind FS to become jedi, and in the end your starting template doesn't matter... Many people changed template to be able to grind using combat/weapon xp (most of them took commando 4000 for the uber grenade thing).
And that wouldn't give any unfair advantage to anyone... Unlike afk dancer/musicians, grenade throwers, etc...Yes, if you don't have JTL you can't grind that way, but who cares ? It's not the fastest way, it's just another way... Would bring more people in space... And more fun in the game

It'll never happen, but I support the idea.
Space flight is to me the most challenging and fun aspect of this game. I'd love get my FS XP this way, even if it took longer.

Who knows, if they did this, it make a few more sales of JTL for Sony.

you can argue that one person has TKM and its not fair for the entertainer..JTL, like other profession, is a customer choice.. Sony should not use this as a basis for not including it into the conversion table
