Finally made it to the Village - talked to Paemos - and he gave me 2 free unlocks
Now i had done the Hologrinding thing - got to my silent - and have been playing this game since launch.
I was under the impression that i was going to get 4 lines.
I could see myself gring out 2 lines, but i seriously dont know if i have the strength to grind 4 lines.
Feels like i have been grinding forever just to be a jedi and now i have to do this rediculous xp exchange never ending grind.
Did i do something wrong here? Does anyone why i only got 2 free unlocks?
Any help would really be appreciated.

LOL man the samething happenend to me ,,but what nobody knew was that they extended the number of trade before unlocking your jedi !!!! When I finished my holo's and stop grinding I was under the same impression but they went from 4-5 trade to 8-9 trade to master before unlocking your jedi... I dont have the link to put here but it was put somewhere after patch 10 that the requirements went from 4-5 trade to 8-9 trades.... I feel your pain cause if I would of known thatI would of carry on with grinding trades.. I ended up receiving only 2 free one like you... So that's what happenend man and hopefully you wont get crazy like me grinding FS ahahah..
Hope this help

If you want to see bad luck read on
I did 28 professions and did not unlock. I did everything but Entertainer, Dancer, Image Designer, and Musician. I got 5 free unlocks, and I can say now that I don't like any of the Force Sensitive skills I chose. My character is so unlucky that I figured the Force Luck line would help him out, wrong, Force Healing Speed doesn't work, Vehicle Control doesn't seem to do 4 skillpoints worth, then melee and ranged defense which is a bit pricey seeing as how I could use those 8 skillpoints and get more from them with an extra profession box or 2. To make matters worse my 6th branch takes Sense xp, I average about 15k-20k sense xp each day. I am at 640k sense xp now and I need another 610k, I am probably going to switch to a combat and unlock, I can't take another 2-3 months of Sense xp.
My holo's were:
#1 Droid Engineer, easy but cost nearly 2 million in resources. Coming from someone that had been a pistoleer/ranger since launch that's a lot of credits.
#2 Bounty-Hunter, drop crafting grind out marksman again, took 2 weeks of 5 hours a day and I only had 5-10 missions bug on me, this was after vehicles so it was not nearly as frustrating as it could have been.
#3 Bio-Engineer, someone shoot me,try going MBH to MBE, that sucks. I stayed part BH/BE for about 3 weeks, which was pretty funny. If a creature wanted to agro me and not let me sample it, LLC evil grin.
#4 Silent
From here on I would stay a Master of a Profession for at least 4 week if I liked it. I figuredmakingMaster level items as a crafter would be more Jedi like, patients perseverance and all. I was wrong there too. I had joked with my friendsafter I finished BE and got my silent that it would be dancer, just because my characters luck sucks and it is the one profession I did not EVERY want to do. 28 professions later, guess what it was probably dancer.
On the positive side I really think the holo grind was much better then this new system, I found out that I like, tailoring, bio-engineering, creature handler, making weapons, and finally, just lighting stuff on fire and punching things in the face.
I found out that I hate Merchant, and I do mean HATE. I have to keep 0004 just to store things that I have collected over the past year and a half. My character is a Force Sensitive gimp, but not for much longer.
I have made up my mind, if the developers let you surrender Padawan, I will unlock drop it right after making my second toon, log in, /slap the hell out of that Rodian that asks me the same damn question every damn day, and then I will give him my final salute /rude and tell him to take this religion and shove it.
I will screenshot that for sure.
I will screenshot that for sure.
I am a firm believer that you need 2 accounts to enjoy this game, but I refuse to pay for a second one out of principle.
If you want a Jedi do this: unlock with 6 lines of combat/reflexes, get the Commando grenade line and the flame thrower line, and then light everything on fire andblow stuff up. What ever you do, DO NOT choose to grind Sense xp, I can not stress that enough. If you want anything from the sense line use a free unlock for it.
I wish you the best ofluck, hopefully it won't be a curse.

From what i can hear here i must have been REALLY lucky.....
mastered 12 profesions, got 3 free branches - my holo got silent after fencer and tailor.....
honestly: the old system made no sense - now i can atleast see a little progress every day - it might not be much, but its there. and yes - grinding FS xp is a pain, but dont think grinding Jedi is any easier......

If am i right you are wrong about the 8 pros. some of the first jedi unlocked on 5 pros. i might be mistaking but i am almost positive that some people in the early stages of holo grinding unlocked in 5 pros and as more and more jedis came around it started to up untill people were unlocking on 30 pros.

It changed. It was originally 4+1 but later it became 4+4. TH told us this when Pub 10 hit

Yes, in the early stages of the hologrind, you only had to guess one silent profession. As more people made jedi, the devs upped the number of silents without telling anyone. By the time patch 9 went live, there were 4 silent professions which you had to master, bringing the total to 8.

Turns out there were 8 professions needed to get jedi in the old system (four discoverable by holocrons, 4 always silent). How many of those eight you got determined your unlocks. It was number - 2 (so if you got 6 you got 4 unlocks, you obviously got 4 of them (which is to say you didn't guess any of your silents) so you get 2 unlocks).
