look guys if you don't like this color thing vote for my idea, it would simply imvolve making the reward consistent where bye you get 1 clear color crystal the person who owns it would set the crystal to whatever color they wanted and it would stay that color thus eliviating this persistent problem of getting the same rutine color making it less and less rare.

Good idea. My theory on this is that the crystals will have a use after the CU. Since lightsabers will do energy damage, the other special crystals could add other damage.

and i hate the idea of sabers doing energy and having elemental damage we have no armor so why not let us have our own damage type

if sabers have elemental dmg specific to their crystal this will only force jedi to have a lightsaber in every color so that when they fight you no matter what armor you have they can hurt you, badly!

Because, having the own damage type makes you do far too much damage. Besides, how do you know how much damage you will do after the CU comes live? I doubt it will be less then a blaster...

I think this is a similar idea to one i want, you get a crystal that you can customize and set a color on it? If it is that would be very cool. What I want is that, when we do the M. Acc. quest we get to choose from the list of the Special Jedi Color crystals cause there are like 12 of them atleast. Then when we hit knight we are given a crystal as a reward that we set it as our own unique color, that crystal would be non decay like robes. That would make lightsabers much more unique.
Also I think I read somewhere that when we tune the crystals we choose the element type. Not so sure on that yet though, it may have just been someone's hope.

from what i've read it is the colour of the crystal in your saber that will denote the elemental damage. you dont pick an elemental damage as you tune the crystal as far as i can see
