Thread: why can we convert Pilot XP into FSXP

I don't know the exact answer, but from what I hear people say it is because the pilot profession does not cost any skill points. Anyone can do it.
I have over 80 million in prestige so what would you propose the conversion rate be?
Furethermore which of the 4 trees would these points go into?
Prestige is way to easy to get to be allowed to convert to Force XP.
/agree.
especially since such a big part of the movies is the numerous references to anakin's piloting skills.
I think the original notion was that to keep space completely 'twitch' based, there should be equal ground between a casual and hardcore player in space, therefor no FS should be tied to space. I agree in the fact that there should NOT be a FS tree that gives better stats to your starship (like the vehicle control tree, just for space). So instead of just not giving us a space FS branch, the instead completely severed all ties between the two. I agree with you all though, and think a one way relation (i.e.- xp comes down to convert, but no stat bonuses go up) would be awesome. even if it was a rediculous conversion rate like 100:1.
p.s.- it'd have to be prestige and not starship combat, cause don't forget there are people that get quadrouple starship combat xp for previous masters
probably because it's so easy to get. conversion rates would have to be crazy high.
although i would love to have a use for the millions of prestige points i have banked instead of going into deep space and blankly staring at a bugged rebel station /tear
about pilot taking no skill points though.. doesn't politician not take any skill points either now? i thought politician xp was convertable. could be wrong though, oh well
Yeah, Politician XP is convertable and does not take Skillpoints, but it's you get XP passively, and cannot really "grind" it.
Personally, I've been wondering this myself for awhile. People say it's "easy" to get Space Prestige, but, really, is it any easier than ground xp?
For a Tier 5 fighter, you get, what, about 8000 prestige? For a level 82 mob, you get about the same XP, no? One on one, they probably take close to the same amount of time to kill, depending on your equipment.
I think somewhere between 30-1 and 50-1 would be a reasonable conversion rate for Prestige. It would still take people quite a bit of time to grind out millions of that XP to convert to all the FS XP you need.
But, like someone pointed out, at least it would be fun. ![]()

WHY is there a reason, i think it will also be a way to make space more interesting for people because at least in my server spce sector are quite empty
because half of your Starfighter pilot XP was never earned. The tree that took you to 2/2/2/2 to 3/3/3/3 was just One mission BOOM skilled up. Another mission: BOOM skill up...all the way from 2/2/2/2 to 3/3/3/3
Thats why.
