personally would take the 6 you need, as getting any 6 trees then going back (if you can) and getting the otehrs is a waste of skill points you could spend in the Jedi trees, besides you have to go through all the phases a cpl of times anyway (unless you power grind) so may aswell bank the xp and wait for the phase to come around and unlock what you need

You can if you wish take any 6 and then when the right comes along to them and drop the ones you don't need anymore, just make sure that you must have always 6 full tree complete.

Take any 6 as melee tapes are pretty cheap these days. Don't worry about gettin the "right one" as it really doesnt matter.

So, just to be clear:

It is possible to get your jedi going, then afterwards, go back to the village, do more village quests, fill up more/different FS boxes, and drop the ones that you grinded in order to get jedi, as long as you always have at least 6 full trees at all times. Is that correct?

Guess I'm lucky. All 6 of mine are in sequence. Master Combat Prowes and the melee and ranged defense lines.

Just the post i was lookin for. I just came back from a very nice ...long.. vacation an im back to FS grinding. Anyway I wanted to know the same thing an i dont see a direct enough answer to risk my char being gimped for all eternity.

Has anyone actuallybeen able to fill another FS tree and drop an unwanted one? or is this all "i think" or "it makes since cause"or "in theory" bull.

From alot of SoE's dumbass-ed-ness in(not just SWG..ever played EQ2?) past mistakes i do not for one second trust them to leave me the option in there to fix 1 mistake that could cost me 6 months to 1 yr of grinding that i then have to live with or start over... cruel joke? or there way of keeping Jedi unique? (would be thier excuse when you have to grind another year and they say oh well sorry) so everyone doesnt revert to the exact same thing. FS was not open for respec even if you have all branches unlocked...

Three of the 6 that i want are in Phase 3....on phase 4 now... 1 week from 1,7 weeks from Phase 3, then 12...an 12 more...so ill be Jedi sometime next January ? lol its almost worth taking whatever the hell i can an just goin with it even if i am stuck.

I would like to know as well if you can unlock and return to the village later to train a 7th tree, and drop one to get back to 6 total.

Here is my exact scenario.

I have 6 trees unlocked, but only 5 trained up. I want to train the 6th tree up and unlock Jedi. I then want to come back to the village later, unlock the tree I want and train it up, then drop the previous unwanted tree.

Possible(for sure?), or no?

I am taking whatever i can take, just want jedi asap
im however grinding out 2 more branshes of xp to correct them to what i want after.
not so hard grind so i dont mind it.

Looks like noone was brave enough to try this yet...or maybe woulda been better posted on the Jedi forums instead of FS. Anyway im gonna take a decent setup out of what i can get just to get Jedi. If i cant change later...oh well i wont be missing to much from the FS stuff but atleast im not waiting until Jan or Feb 2006 to get Jedi by then i can be Guardian/Master no doubt about it. At which point i will find out if i can learn new trees and drop old ones.

hmm.. this thread got me thinking. I was just going to skip Phase 4 altogether, including not even paying for this month, because I have enough XP to fill up a couple of branches and I don't need any Phase 4 skills. But if I can go back once I'm a Jedi and get what branches I really want, then that's a different story.

I hope we can get some sort of confirm/deny on this
