Ok, confession, I am waiting on the old man so need to fill some time but.....
Who thinks there are far too many Jedi out there? I am gonna go for it like MANY others, but I remember the days when the Jedi was rare and I cant help feeling I prefered it that way. Not becuase I hate Jedi, I've only ever PVP'd one once, but becuase it just felt more realistic.
It seems now that everywhere you look there are Jedi. Will it get to the stage when most PVP'ers are Jedi? What happened to the Jedi CAP they had when I signed up?

Minor flame, but it seems people who just unlock, or just finish trials post this. I am against Jedi CAP. Everyone may not want to be a Jedi, but there are people, such as casual gamers, who dont have the time to play as much as HARDCORE players do. That would mean, the HARDCORE players would become Jedi way before Casual players, making the CAP full of HARDCORE players. Making it in everyway unfair for the casual players. There should be a CAP in FRS, which to my understanding there is, but not to Jedi. Its unfair....
....just my two credits.

Dont get me wrong m8, I cant critisise becuase I'm going to do attempt it.I'm just wondering if it will get to the stage when the majority of combat players will be Jedi.
I mean if I look at other MMORPG's I've played, the pvp'ers ALWAYS went for the best combat profession. Take Neocron for example. The monk at one stage was the uber character. At a time, everyone grinded that character. Then it was the tank, and so on and so on.
For the record, when I say I see Jedi everywhere, I Dont mean running about with sabre blazing, I mean equiped and with the profession tag above their head.

I feel that those of the opinion that there are too many Jedi out there should rectify the problem by deleting theirs. I don't want a Jedi to be uber. I don't want a Jedi to PvP. I want a Jedi because I am so frelling tired of Squills that I want to run around and lightsaber/lighting the whole bloody lot of them! Actually, I want to do it because it sounds like fun. I am tired of the squills, though.
Anyway, I want to be a Jedi. I don't care if it takes me two years to get there, or if I never get past Padawan because I suck at PvP. I just want to do it. Any sort of artificial cap would prevent that, just because I am not the type of person who is going to change my character around to spend the next 3 weeks throwing grenades at baz nitches. So no, no cap. Just let people play the game.

Calel, I understand what you are saying, but a cap is nonsense. I believe if anything tags and robes and LS equipped should cause visibility. I think Jedi should be more incognito, I understand a player is excited about being a Jedi, but this is still an RPG, and the role of a Jedi should have strict rules to follow. Many will argue rules are meant to be broken, and for that they shouldpay. But no cap, its just not fair.

Jedi can't grind with their friends, fight mokks, jantas ect., can't go out guild hunting. By all means, make visibility easier to achieve just for proudly displaying a title or outfit they worked 5 gruling months for. I think not my friend

I play on Bloodfin. A day doesn't go by without sighting a Jedi or three. Today, wthin a five minute span, I saw two Rebel Jedi Masters. Their profession tags gave them away. I'm sure they worked long and hard on their characters and deserve blah blah blah etc. Jedi is like any other profession. It just takes a little more to get there. I will hazard a guess and say that by the end of the year Jedi will be as common as Teras Kasi Masters and Master Swordsmen. Are there too many of those? ::shrugs shoulders:: Dunno. But right now I'd say there are very few things within SWG that one has to work gruelingly hard for. I've just started the Village missions. Perhaps I will be proven wrong in the weeks to come.

I have no problem with a lot of people making Jedi. (If I did, it would be kind of hard to justify going for it myself.) The only thing I don't like is how Jedi run around plain as day without a care in the world. They are supposed to be all but extinct and in hiding at this point in the saga. I liked it when it was a rare and special thing to see one. Hopefully the CU will do something to really force them into hiding.

Eveyone who payed for the game should be able to become Jedi .........
What really bothers me is how they keep changing the rules to become one ... that is not on....
First the holo's ...... with on secret profession..... then 2 secrets ... then 3 secrets .... and now the village......this was the reason of many experienced mmorpg players to move on, you just can't change rules in a mmorpg whenever you feel like it.... big screw up from soe there..
The only reason i'm doing the grind now, is to unlock my second char for an extra 250SP ...... nother flaw in SWG ..... you should NEVER loose skills you once learned .... when dropping a profession to learn another, you don't forget how to do it ...... you should be able to pick it up again WITHOUT having to regrind all the experience you already grinded once ...
I also see very many Jedi on Farstar .... more Jedi's then Image Designers
..... but that's ok .... everyone is entitled to become one, and should be rewarded for their efforts ......
My 2 cents...
