I'm level 20. Is there anything at all I can fight when I can't find a group?
I'm trying to at least get some faction points if I can't get any experience, but even missions 5 levels below me kick my butt.
Not Fun.
Thanx

Ya sorry.. I'm master marksman and pistoleer 0100. Don't you think a master marksman should be able to take Something?

Master Marksman ? Not really. The Elite trees are a lot more important.

Definetely get yourself a suit of Recon, and a low SAC weapon.

Can you indentify any specific problem you are having in combat or do you just keep failing?

Sounds like you are on the right track. I suggest you get a Striker pistol if you havent already and swap to a DH17 Pistol when you get level 22. Also now would be good time to get a suit of Recon armour such as Ubese.

Some general combat ideas,
When doing a mission try to get them around 2-3 levels below you and draw them out one at a time.

Firearm Strike is a low damage move but will knock your target down and buy you a few seconds to do extra damage.

A combat Probe droid can help, Im not sure what they will cost on your server but it will be worth it, especially while you are low level but im level 80 and still one. They are great for drawing attention and a good one should be able to do around 200-300 damage per second.

Give those a try and contact me on here if you have any problems/question

I was just wondering how many people were able to "get glowy" by themselves? In other words, complete the tasks without the help of others.

I don't get to play as regularly as I'd like, so joining a guild and being an active member isn't really feasible for me. This of course poses a problem when I'm looking to group with people to complete some of the theme parks.

Currently, I'm a 19th level, master scout and am working towards Teras Kasi novice (4040 brawler). I'm also set up to go rifleman as I'm a 0004 marksman. I'm working on rebel pilot too...I've always wanted to fly an a-wing.

The only badges I have left to obtain are content related (I'm checking at "You feel the Force surge within you."), but I just don't seem to be high enough level to take down the opposition. For example, I'm doing missions for Leia out of the hidden rebel base on Corellia. Currently, I need to to rescue a captive from 2 stormtroopers and escort her back to the base. The troopers are coning at 25 and pretty much take me down on sight.

Do I just need to grind up a few more combat levels, maybe get an elite profession so I can wear some armor, or is there something else I'm missing?

Jedi has been my goal from the beginning, it's the main reason I bought the game. Any help or advice is appreciated.

Why wouldnt it be feasible to join a guild? I don't get to play as much as I would like to, but joining a guild when it was offered was one of the best experiences of the game imo. I get to talk with people, made new friends, and the times I can get on, they really help me out. Maybe I got lucky with the guild I got into, but I go and help when I am able to (even if it means dying multiple times cause its for the fun of the game, not real life or death, obviously), and they help me out, even if its just grinding, or doing quests. So joining a guild can be a good thing, even if you don't have as much time as you would like.

I should be glowy right now, and it took me several weeks to get to that point cause of my schedule, but I'm glad I had a guild to help me out. Now just waiting for the "bug" to be fixed.

Good luck!

I did it solo pre-CU (all except for the Warren, had a guide to make it faster). Can you do that post CU? Don't know.

I solo'd my way to force sensitve. I also solo'd my way to lvl 80. Rather than making the same mistake that so many before you have made,do not rush your way to becoming a Jedi. I curently have 7 unlocks at the village and don't plan on going Jedi anytime soon. Take time to enjoy the game for what it is. Allot of people find out what the minimum requirements for Jedi are and rush through them. Then they go Spin on Dant the rest of the time. What fun is that? These same people are the ones you will find crying on the Jedi forum "wahh I'm not uber" "wahh a BH killed me". They rushed there way to Jedi and didn't prepare them selves properly. They picked an easy template and fought easy MOBs and have no clue how to unlock the full potential of there toon. They swing sabers doing 150 damage and cry about it cause they didn't stock up on pearls and crystals before hand. Save yourself the agony of all this, and remember that if you become Jedi and are not uber, that you only did it to yourself and have no one else to blame. It's a game have fun with it.

...don't get me wrong I'm not "rushing" to become a Jedi, but it is my main goal. I love the game, but it still seems like I'm a little "weak" to complete quite a bit of content. I have yet to even scratch the surface of ROTW. I feel kind of lost sometimes, like I don't really have a direction in the game.

I was in a guild at one point, but it disbanded. I'm not against joining another one, I just haven't run into anyone who's "recruiting".

I guess I'll just keep plugging away and gain a few more combat levels.

Thanks for your input.

I solo'd my way to Force Sensitive at CL65. That includes doing The Warren. I should have waited till CL80 to make it easier. After getting glowy I grinded to CL80. After that I found a guild. I didn't want to just join anyone so I took my time until I met the right group of guys. I wouldn't rush to Glowy until you are CL70+. At that level you should be able to solo the content, and amybe even kill the Sith that come for you.
