*Sigh*

After a long and hard fight against the Sith Thugs in the Melee Accuracy quest, we finallygot to the part where wewere tocapturethe Commander. We waited perhaps 10-15 minutes forthe Siths in front of the base todespawn, then quickly ran into the base, captured the Commander and immediately ran out. Success! Or so we thought...

After less than five minutes after capturing him, when we were happily making our way to the Force Village, the Commander died of the poison. Is he not supposed to last for about an hour? It was... frustrating, to say the least. Especially since the quest is so hard and time consuming.

How long is the timer of the poison? When does it start? What triggers the countdown? I would guess that this qualifies as a bug, since he died almost as soon as wegot him away from the base... Or am I missing something?

Countdown starts when you Capture him.. He takes the poison then...

But, if he gets too far from the person escorting (even due to lag) he does die before the timer runs out. Seen this happen a few times. Besides the "Tries to Escape" that happens if you get too far also.

I suppose this could be it, but in our case I highly doubt it. The Commander was only a few steps behind me, if I recall correctly.

Still, thank youfor the information.

I know everyone says the timer starts when you capture him, but was different for me. I did the quest 2 times and both times, the captain died on me 2k from the village. I was never further than 15m from him and we were under the one hour time limit. 3rd time was a charm. We decided to try on the premise that the timer started as soon as shields were lowered. It worked. This was repeatable with another person in our group as well. By timing from the moment shields were lowered, the captain was delivered to the village safely. I'm not positive, but worth a try, hmm?

yes, the timer doesnt start when you capture him, i know because first time i tried ny friend who lowered the shield died before i captured the commander. So i was waiting for him to get close to the base but after about an hour of waiting, the commander died and we never captured him.

The timer either starts when the shields are breached, or when then captain spawns (5 sith killed). I don't remember which. But it is well before you capture him. The key phase to why it failed for you is the part of your phrase "after a long hard battle with the Sith". You can't waste time with those #%$#. I learned that the hard way too.

Same thing happened to me, I was pissed to say the least. I can only assume that they've changed it to start counting down once you bring the shields down, or when he spawns in the first place.

Hang in there, I took a few days break, I was that mad, but came back and worked hard with a group and finally got my turn, and we did it, never felt so good. Better hurry though, phase changes any day now.

Good Luck

I guess I need to get a group to help me on this. I was hoping I could do this by myself.

actuly this mission is soooooo easy if you know how to do it...

its about takeing your time and thinking about what your doing and not just running into a group of sith and pwning them....

you can do this mission solo if your a rifleman and me and my friend did it with 2 non master prof. (I droped TKM to go up commando and otherstuff) and he was NOVICE rifleman....and we still beat it easaly

4 of us had the commander die on us last night 800m from the village. For us it was a timer issue - we were under the assumption that the timer didn't start till we captured the commander, which took us a while since we botched the timing and had about 20 sith all over us when we dropped the shield. We finally captured him and made a break for it, but the 8000m run to the village was littered with a few of us cloning thanks to our buffs running out, and racing back to help.

Lesson learned. If Lowca hasn't shifted tonight to phase 4, then we'll make a last run at it, but at least we know where we went wrong.

Peeps, you're forgettng something:

Once you destroy the turrets, you have approximately 2 hours before the base resets.

The hour timer for the commander happens from the point you "CAPTURE" him. Not before.

If you had an hour from the point you drop the shields. Then you would always fail the mission if you had to run from the farthest base. That would be silly wouldn't it.

Approximate time to kill a thug: 5 mins. So that's 25 mins to kill 5.
Then you have a 10km run on your hand. which takes approx 30 mins. Plus you have mobs and aggro to deal with on the way.
You'd never make it back in time.

I think what the main issue has been, is that people are exceeding the 2 hour timer, which will automatically take precedence over the 1 hour timer that begins from capture of the commander.

Nice. I think part of our problem the other night was we had too many present. The weird thing even though me and my bud that running the mission were grouped separately we still had to contend with nearly 15 sith thugs. Also, there was some weird about the spawn rate too. Every 30 secs to 1 min.... 2 sets of five would spawn then in about 5 mins another 2 sets of five would spawn then the first 10 would despawn.
