Thread: Is Jedi Starting To Become Undesirable
I never wanted to be a jedi in the first place.
I just want that second character slot. ![]()
Only went Jedi as I have done everything else there is to do in the game, mastered every profession at one time or another, completed evey quest etc.
If they wanted to stop players becoming Jedi they would introduce PROPER content for the other 30 professions, as it stands there is none worth speaking of, never has been any and most likely never will be.

ditto
All the Jedi who get glowy in 5 days, powergrind their FS boxes, and then go from Mellichae to full tempate in a week while AFK make GREAT content for BH's because they have no idea how to actually play the game. And, no, we're not all going Jedi.

1) Make jedi almost impossble to ubtain, but be out landishly powerful....

THis is very common amongst a lot of players, they just want that second slot, but for a lot of people in this boat once they have their jedi they change their minds. There's no law against changing their minds.
If the second slot was dissassociated from gaining the jedi we would probably have a lot fewer jedi than we do now. The problem came with the first generation jedi, where after you completed your hologrind you unlocked a secondary character. When they changed the system with the village where your main character could become a jedi rather than unlocking a fs slot/character, it seemed unfair to new second generation jedi that they could only have one character where as the older first generation would have two.
The problem with this game is very few ideas are thoroughly thought out and the organisation of these ideas is atrocious.

that sounds familiar.... perhaps not to the degree you described, but anyone in this board remember the days of the hologrind....? one major advantage that this "glowy" BS cannot capture, is the process of learning the functions of each profession, effectively training you against every profession as well as forcing that wisdom which is characteristic to a jedi to begin with... i say bring back the hologrind, i'd love to see these noobs grind out 30 professions in 5 days..... just to grind jedi.... at least you learn something in the process
That was one thing I did like about the hologrind, it did give me insights into every other profession. As a result I have a dancer and many many crafters that I otherwise would not have had if it wasn't for it. Heck I wouldn't even be playing many of the brawler professions today either.
I want Jedi for the second slot and I also want one of the FS trees for luck. It might help me get better loot. (assuming it actualy DOES something).
I wouldn't say Jedi is un desierable. ill get it when i get it.
