Thread: Instead of causing people pain, and boringness, why dont they just extend the phases?

Extending phases is not the answer at all... that'll make it tons longer as well. If it is 4 weeks instead of 3, you are waiting that much longer for you next unlock, and if you already have all of your xp there is no point, yeah I probably will be grinding after my final unlock, but I don't have too much of a problem with that, I think I'll be fine with it.

None of the current stuff the devs are trying to do is the answer. The answer is with Visibility, plain and simple. Nobody can make "less" jedi on the servers. All they can do is control how and when you as a player see them.

So extending the grind is quite pointless.

if you want more time to experience the rest of the content then just take a break from grinding. You dont need the skills trained before the phase change so there is no need to grind everyday in between phases. If you think it should be a 4 week rotation then just train yourself to spend 1 week on content for every 2-3 weeks you grind.

But now they are forcing more grinding, to extend the time needed to become jedi, a longer phase is better imho

You this way people wont have to grind as much, and with longer phases they will get a chance to enjoy the game itself much much more.

Making the grind itself longer and more arduous is not the answer, extending the length of the phase would be the true solution.

I used to ba able to unlock a branch, then just grind it out in a few days to a week, then I would take the rest of the 2 weeks in the phase to enjoy the rest of the game(PVP, JtL, Questing, Missions, Etc.)

Now your telling me I have to spend the entire phase just grinding if I hope to see jedi ever? By requiring more grinding it leaves the FS no downtime in between phases..

To restate my point, phases should be longer, not the grind.

(because come on, wouldn't you rather have more free time to do the rest of your stuff?)

Personally I think this is a great short term solution to the growing Jedi swarm.

It won't mean anything unless they do something about the Jedi who are already out there.

I don't actually have the time or the inclination to grind enough xp in three weeks, and I would welcome extended phases.

Good idea, people should unlock all the phases, but only need to grind out 6 trees, that would hold people off for a while. ***Sarcasm***

SOE should re-evaluate the entire village system and replace with with a series of quests that are 'dynamic' that could not be easily documented on player sites or in the forums. Something that would be a challenge, something to replace all the needless grinding with some fun content to the game.

LOL, the quests don't take long to do.... if you want to take an extra 6 weeks to reach jedi then you can do it on your own.... YOU ARENT FORCED TO BECOME JEDI ONCE YOU FINISHED YOUR SIXTH BOX!!!!

On the other issue, I don't even believe SOE will be able to slow down the Jedi.... they messed that up long ago.... Begun the Jedi Wars has!

Bring back the CU or at least Pre-CU... its better that this MMO Third Person Shooter bullcrap

Correct me if I'm wrong here. I thought once you unlocked the trees, you have as much time to fill the trees regardless if that phase that unlocked it is still going on. I figured you could essentially spend 1 time during each phase and unlock a tree. And then, after you have them all unlocked, you could start your grind. Obviously this would be a stupid thing to do but it just makes it easier to understand what I'm saying.... I think
