I didnt see any beside vehicle acceleration on 4 different toons unlocking all different things.

Healing: You get +10 healing speed right? Not a second difference.

Melee Speed: Tested on Power Hammer, not a second difference

Ranged Speed: Tested with T-21, not a second difference

Assembly: Still failures

Repair: This skill normally broken in Artisan, like skill tapes, addition does NOT affect.

Experimentation: You dont get free experimentation boxes, but you get "close to Research center rates on success"

What are those skills really if someone dont like to bein"Jedi proffession" (no true Jedis available in 30 galaxies I put my 2 cents in)

You can't expect these skills to make you perfect. The bonus from 2 extra experimentation points through force crafting would be way too much for any one without the skills to compete with them.

The skills are designed to give you a little bonus over other people, not the huge bonus it sounds like you're after.

I agree when Fs ppl dont become this superman who can kill anything. but the FS skills should give u an advantage, not just a little but such as u could see the difference.

Well, since we cap our attack speed at Master of each profession (usually), I don't expect that FS Melee Speed will have an effect on what I'm mastered in. However, if you have all 4 boxes of Melee Speed (+12 speed overall), then you can hit the speed cap in any profession without having to master it. For instance, Master Sword box has a +10 in speed. I'm currently 0440 Sword, so with my 4 boxes of Melee Speed, I'm at the master-rated speed cap. So it makes a large difference in those skills that you've not mastered.

Same goes for Ranged Speed, Ranged Accuracy &Melee Accuracy.

Hope this helps.

Saw this answer to another question and thought it was appropriate here also...

FS skills DO add bonuses to jedi skills... just most of them are useless. Lightsaber master speed caps so FS melee speed has limited use except for grinding. Melee and Ranged Defence FS skills work fine for Jedi.. but not really that big a bonus. Melee Acc works with LS.FS crafting skills work for jedi when crafting Lightsabers and LS crafting tools. FS Vehicle control works the same for Jedi as everyone else. FS Survival works the same for Jedi as everyone else.

I don't agree at all!

I have melee speed that actually works for both ranged and melee speed cause a bug.

The T21 shot really faster cause Rifleman is not speed capped. I can say that the difference is so big that I will kill you 100% the times if we duel with the same rifle, armor, food and so on. U should try to shot head3 and conceal shot at crazy speed ...

I can say the hammer is faster too cause I'm not Master Swordsman and I noticed the difference.

Actually, you only cap on TK when master from the melee professions. You need +95 to weapon speed to cap, TK gives you +115

That means that when you have master swords (+75 to weapon speed) plus +12 force sensitiveyou are still only on +87.

If you pick up another +5 from master brawler, you're still +3 to speed short.

With Fencer you cap with master brawler and the FS skills for sure.

I thought the +XX speed in order to cap was different for each profession....but it's been a long long long time since I even wanted to think about that whole formula thingy the devs have.

anyone throw some light on this?

Is there a speed cap? I think there is a skill cap but can be augmented byof buffs (havla) ? Does your template mean that it was capped?

Melee Speed: Tested on Power Hammer, not a second difference

What is your template. There is definitely a speed cap. Did you hit the cap vefore the fs skill was applied

Ranged Speed: Tested with T-21, not a second difference

What is your template. There is definitely a speed cap. Did you hit the cap vefore the fs skill was applied. I can tell you there is a difference in Master Pistoleer which is only speed capped if you take BH pistols

Assembly: Still failures

The skill does not stop all failures, juust reduces the chances. You would have to do a sampling of severl hundred with and without the FS skill to really determine the frequency and rate of change

Repair: This skill normally broken in Artisan, like skill tapes, addition does NOT affect.

Well repair is broken on all fronts

Experimentation: You dont get free experimentation boxes, but you get "close to Research center rates on success"

Correct, you get an addition to your experimentation roll. But in beta for FS there was too much whining about getting experimentation points from FS so the Dev's removed it. People that had spent a lot of money on tapes to get their additional points were not happy that others would not have to spend millions for tapes even though they would get addition points if theyy learned this

Speed Caps

MSwordsman has +75 2h Melee Speed. To actually cap with any weapon, ever, with any speed, guaranteed 1 hit per second (you get the idea) requires +100 speed. The speed of the weapon attack is calculated with this formula:

(100-X) * (W * M)

Where X = Your Speed Mod

Where W = Your Weapon's Speed

Where M = The Speed multiplier of the attack you use

As you can see, a speed mod of +100 would make the first bracket equal zero, hence weapon speed would equal zero, but because of an ingame cap you cannot attack more than once per second.

However, of the 4 brawler professions, only one of them actually goes above +100, aka TKM. Thus, a TKM could hit once per second with a weapon of speed 20, for all he cared.

Fencers do cap upon mastery, but this is because their weapons rarely exceed 4.0 speed, and as they have +90 they continue to hit at capped speed, possibly with some exceptions.

Master Swordsmen have +75 2h melee speed, assuming no attachments and no master brawler. Also, because they have much slower weapons they have to get their mod up to more like +95 to cap with an acklay hammer, at around 6.0 speed.

Lastly Master Pikemen are pretty much identical, and as I cant recall the stats I cant give you much more than that.

Therefore, if you are an already speedcapped swordsman, as I have come to believe the thread starter is, of course there will be no difference in melee speed. But I was MSwordsman without any mods before, and believe me, it did.
