Started and finished the phase 4 quest yesterday. Fighting off the hordes of Sith was fun, and about the best of the quests Ive experienced so far. Some things the Devs did right. First, you get a hit on a needed target and you get credit. Makes a big difference with as many players that are in the village. Team work is valuable for this phase, and thats welcomed. And most important is that players who still need FS exp wont be happy farming the village for points, leaving the majority of targets to the players that actually need them. When I went to cash in at the village today, I had one outlaw agro me. I killed him and got like 680 pike points. I never paid attention to it doing the quests. So I imagine that the pirates yeild few points as well. WELL DONE! Good quest, it works ( except I didnt get any reward for melee defense) and it was fun.

With a constant 20% packet loss and over 1000 ping times it's not that fun.
I had 2 waves of sith attack and still have 8 pirates to kill.
A pirate spawns, you target him, tell your toon to attack, until it recognizes your attack command the pirate is already dead.
It's a huge battle, and could have been fun, but lag is too annoying out there and kills all the fun..

Agree with the original poster. Very fun.
I also liked the phase 3 capture the commander quest.
I really think they should lower the phase time though so we get to enjoy the quests more often.

Easily my favorite quest so far. Really had the feeling I was there to help defend a village..
Quite nice to have a large group there too, and I didn't suffer the lag/packet loss some of you have been.

Pirates was an example to demostrate how bad the lag was. I'm not crying about the lack of pirates.
Only thing i was trying to tell is the REALLY bad lag i'm experiencing. You may not have the lag as bad as i do, so i'm sure it's been fun as hell.

We had a blast yesterday afternoon on Tarq. Quite a party on Danth. It took two spawns for me to get all the kills I needed, but that was mostly due to the lack of Pirates. Good job on the quest Devs.

giving the devs credit?? what is that some kind of joke? it is fine and dandy for those of us , who have finished it early, but what happens in about 2 weeks time, when a majority of the quest grinders have long finished? How about those casual gamers who are not like us, who anxiously await each phase shift? what happens then? it is fine when there are100 some odd players fighting these sith gank squads, but what happens later on, when the number of quest grinders are greatly reduced because they finished their quest? pirates/outlaws are a piece of cake... but when those thugs start coming, its a different story. in the past phases there would be at least some population who can actually hang out there, and logoff and so forth, now becuase its filled with sith, you would be crazy to chose to log off there, b/c you would run the risk of basically loggin on asking where you would like to clone..... giving the devs credit, pfhh... ok.....whatever.

/sign I thought they did a great job. I lost a few kills ...like someone mentioned, but there are so many targets that it really isn't a problem, I had fun with it

I really enjoyed this quest a lot. I liked the aspect of needing a group and working together. It was challenging and fun. I finshed it on the first spawn and ended up staying the whole rest of the day to help out. It was a cool thing also because I got to meet new people and have another group activiity for the guild. It also makes going back to exchange xp a real interesting time. Guildchat always has "hey I am going to t the Village..anyone else need to go? " or "Is anyone in the Village..are the Sith attacking?" Its not just a mindless 6k drive to drop off and leave anymore lol
Kudos to the Devs
