I think fencer is a far better pvp choice. Reliable blind, dizzy and accuracy. Also, with swordsmen you can be good you just need to sink money into about +15-20 speed just to swing a ph at the cap.

PVP only, fencer I'd say fencer. The disclaimer to that is if you don't have a decent acklay baton, a standard PH will work a mind down faster. COB + scatterhit2 with an acklay baton will let you outlive and eventually wear down an opponent faster than a swordsmen in my opinion.

Im considering a Master Fencer/Master Swordsman/Explorer/TKA Meditation Tree/Novice Medic combo. Fencers face serious problem against Stun armor so a Dizzy/Lunge can incap the stronger more vulnerable targets then land Head Hits with a Scythe. For TKA the Swordsman can take them down and for ranged attackers the Fencer can target them. Its really a tough call cause there will be varying armor and professions to deal with.

Fencer owns PVP. I've been killed many times in PVP, but never by a swordsman. Only thing is you need a lot of money to invest in an awesome acklay stun baton to be any good with it. COB, Intimidate, Dizzy, Lunge, Scatter2 over and over = teh win. Only problem is that if you are fighting someone that has experience in pvp, more than likely they will be wearing 40% stun armor, 50%+ PSG with stun protection, have eaten some synthsteak and also intimidated you... then you are screwed, lmao. Thats why I have rifle as my other prof, b/c then I just bust out the rifle.

It may be because I have +190 carbine accuracy, but despite what everyone says about fencers in PvP I seem to have a lot more trouble with swordsmen. Stun batons have an extremely low damage output if you have stun armor and an imp PSG on. If the person relies entirely on fencer for damage, you can take away their KD if you don't kite and just allow them to posture you down (but I guess that isn't an option if you are melee).
By far the most dangerous oponents that I have faced in PvP,*cough* other than cms,are well outfitted swordsman defense stackers.

If a swordsman has all the neccisary SEAs, a good scythe/PH and sticks intimidate on the Fencer, the swordsman should destroy the fencer. I've PvPed with both (individually, at the same time and both with doctor) but I find that Fencer is much more enjoyable, because it has an actual dizzy move. 2h hit 3 has a chance of dizzying, but not an actual move for it.

Ackley baton is a stun baton modified with an ackley bone making it alot higher damage. And ackley bones can be looted from the boss in the geonsian cave; ackley.
Now I have some experience as a PvPing swordsman, and I have a +19 2 handed speed attachment, emaning that I can swing any hammer/any special every second.
Beeing a speed capped swordsman along with doc is a great combo because you can heal your dizzy and intimidate and do alot of damage. The things you will miss out on however, is a dizzy/kd move. I suggest somehow dabbling in fencer for the dizzy/kd as it will make it much easier to hit and do fast damage as a swordsman.
If you do not have alot of speed tapes for 2 handed, it is ahrd to deal the damage you need to deal against defense stacking fencers with CoB on as youll attack like every 2-2.5 seconds, and youll miss half of the hits.
