Thread: Fencer Vs. At-St and Jedi

This is something that came out at the battlefield near coronet, how do we fight at-st's? Almost half of the imperials on Kauri have them, and I was hitting the at-st as hard as a could ( on the battlefield last night), with about 5 rebel NPC's hitting it too, and I died within 30 seconds. I could barely tell that I had touched it. Also, for those that actaully read this, is it possibly to defeat a jedi with fencer? The only thing that I can think of is keeping them in states, and make sure you have cob running because as long as you DONT get HIT, your safe...

The best way that I have found to beat a AT-ST is to bring along a friend who is a commando and/or a Master Fencer. We don't have the damage type to do much against them. I am picking up a Fencer/Rifleman that might be able to do a littledamage if I am1on 1 with the AT-ST. ButI don't see us being able tohandle one anytime soon.

AT-ST has 100% heat rez, and acid rifles aren't that great for commando. better bet is conceal shot from rifleman at master level, they go down quick also... swordsmen with hammers can do good damage to em. *no idea why i am telling rebels how to kill at-st *

err the last guy was lying you umm look for the damage type that has 100% res and use it *couhgs* yes...

A commando with Pistoleer skills is a tough match up for an AT-ST, especially if they know how to use a launcer pistol properly.

a master fencer cant take a at-st for shiot, but a master rifleman with a t21 can do them in about 40 sconds with headshot 3. pistoleer can do them easy with a good launcher lol i like to use my 489 max launcher for at-sts.
master fencer can take a jedi easy, here is how, get dancer and music buffs and 400+ brandy. it would be nice to be doctor to so u can heal yourself really high. have good clearcombatqueue macros for stimming and healing states. apply states to the jedi even though he can cure them and intimdate him every 30 seconds. if he keeps curing the intim then just do it again, use a nice high dmg gaffi stick(mine's 356-498) if u can get some mandolorian wine, its 1000 to all regn stats but takes up 49d rink fill, so instead of taking 2 brandy take 1 and a wine. save your stomach bar for only synsteak and pop one once u start noticing u r getting hit hard again. tahts the best i can get cause its mainly from my experiences as a pvpr on tempest.

Wrong, you just lack creativity.


A Master Fencer, with a COB Macro running, a 300ish damage Gafferdi, decent armor, and stimpacks, can wreck an At-St.


No competition, game over. Trick is - most people can't time their stimpacks right, get those, you get the Armor. You need to realize in combat theirs a healing delay, so you need to be careful with how much you let your H/A drop before you heal it.


Try it, its very much do able.

AT-STs are one of those higher level mobs that have 100% accuracy, even vs professions with maxed ranged defense and maxed dodge. Run your CoB macro, down some aircake or pie, then go fight an AT-ST and look at your combat spam afterwards. Notice how many times you dodged shots from the AT-ST? How many times it missed you? In my experience, never.


Same thing with super battle droids.

im master fencer/master brawler/master sword. its SUPER easy to kill an at-st with swordsman because at-st's only have 35% kenetic resist and the ap2 of a good scythe (in my case 252-450 damage, 2.6 speed) will slaughter it. But as a fencer it takes a little more doing. get a good gaffi, or vibro knife (really only even worth considering cuz of the ap1) and run your center of being macro. make sure you have good stim-b's and novice medic at least, full buffs and a good psg/armor setup will be key here. then proceed to do your best focused pool damage style 1hbodyHit3 and do your thing. in about a minute you should take an at-st down. as for jedi, this is dependent totally on the skill of the jedi. since Players are much more unpredictable than an NPC its hard to have one strategy that works. for fencer, i find that slapping them with as many states as possible, ie: blind, bleed, dizzy is always good. then go for a kd or posture change and try to get them flopping on the ground when they try to raise their posture (due the the kd/posturedown/dizzy combinations you've laced them with). with any luck you can keep your jedi query on the ground and do your thing. As i said, it's entirely going to depend on how good the jedi is in pvp, and what skills they have. But it IS doable if you know what you're doing. Hope this helps.
