Thread: Viable template for PvP?

I've created a new character geared towards PvP, and I'm looking for a stable template, not a FOTM, but more of a Master Profession augmented with skill mods from other professions. This template leaves me with 44 skill points, which I'm going to put in medic and scout. Will this be a good melee fighter in PvP?
Thats very similar to what i was considering doing. Instead i was going to go TKA 4004/master Fencer/ Pistols 1040/ and pikeman 0044
or you can take out the 0044 pikeman and go 0004 pike and some medic in place of that.
Mostly you go up pikeman for the sentinel title, i suppose you could drop it afterwards and just keep the title and then continue with some more TKA for the 'state effect' defenses however. And personally i'm not a fan of medic lol dunno why but when i fight i don't like to worry about healing, i just like to keep focused on killing.

Currently, I would say the best template for pve and pvp is
Master rifleman
Master fencer
0/0/4/0 pistoleer
1/0/4/0 medic
You cap out with melee defense and ranged defense. You have +100 defense to dizzy and +100 defense to kd (almost never get knocked down).

I will say that with novice doctor the actual value of defense vs states and defense vs knockdown is irrelevant. You can get a macro that has you standing up and curing dizzy while KD so DizzyKD is no longer a threat, and you can set toolbar to cure the states and poison/disease.
With a good stun bat, you're only going to be defeated by mobbing and mirror images that have better equipment. A fencer/doctor can chase a rifleman all day long, +14 to intimidate shirt, means you keep them intimidated all day long unless they have doctor also, in which case its better not to chase them.

Soft capped at 125, hard capped at 150 for the ranged and melee defense. The same as Dodge if i'm not mistaken.

Defenses, including ranged and melee, are capped at 125 - anything above is a waste unless it's from SEA's or food. Mstr Rifles + Mstr Brawler is still a good combo though - flushing2 + intimidate 2 = removed all defenses from opponent.
Currently Master Rifles/Master Fencer/4301 TKA/Novice medic, but I'm more PVP focused. For a great all-around template with enough skill points left over for some scout and decent amount of medic, you've chosen well.
