Thread: Newb to armor
i like my 70% kinetic ubese - hate the way it looks, but you can't argue with results, gonna run more than 40k though
the best protection vs. HAM costs is mabari, and you can get some good mabari for cheap
I can get a lot more than 40k 
Just wondering what i should i get and what i should pay
I use a ubese jacket, legs, boots and helmet. Then a nice set of mabari gloves. The gloves cover both the hands and bracer slots with a big HAM cost savings. 
I got a 8 Full Sets of Triple Layered Composite 80% Kinetic Resistance:
Went to a Slicer:
Had him Slice all the Armor:
Ended up with a 92%-96% Kinetic Resistance Composite..With Buffs I am the Ultimate Tank.
Full Set of Ubese armour i have
74% kentic
was 100k
............................
Ive seen composite pieces with about 78% resist
arms/bicep 30k ea
legs 60k
chest 60k
helm 40k
boots 25k
hands30k
.................................
it realy depends who you go to just walk around most popular towns
coronet and bestine are most popular on my server
just ask around on who is best armoursmith (youll get a few people just saying their mate is the best)
but ask around for about 10mins youll get alot of people saying the same guys name and thats who i go too if i hear their name over 3 times
and i always go to them shops and find good quality cheap items go to other shops just outside of town found armour no where enar as good and double the price

composite 120k all up 8% energy i think it was
My opinion is go hunt vortior lizards. Gain there enhancments(sp) then go to a master armoursmith you trust and get advance bone armour. This armour is kinda weak but I have seen it go up to 40% kinetic on my server with almost nothing for enc. Making it something you would definatly want to look in. Considering Composite and Ubse both use alot of stats to wear it is a nice alternative to the other choices you have.

If you use vortior lizards segments orscalein bone armor you’ll only get the kinetic up to 6-10%. Experimenting on armor won’t effect any stats that have moved from Vulnerabilities to specials Resistance. Is it a bug? I don’t know. You’re probably thinking of Krayt or Kimo scales.

well i personally use composite armor. with 60-70% resists i can handle pretty much anything. and except that i think there is a hole in my armor it works great. the only downside is the encumbrence. if u have a doc friend who has lots of buffs and get some glazed glucose and BOH, u can spam specials with the armor and go on all day. w/o buffs and 1 special will kill you. i'm getting a few more sets of armor, and gunna try them out with lower encumbrence.

you can't if it's tripple layered kinetic resist armor it's listed under Special Protection - which doesn't get sliced, only Effectiveness gets sliced. and i'm pretty sure there's a 90% cap on armor now too
sounds to me like he got some composite and had it sliced over and over until he hit 90% but that's just a guess
