Hi All,

I have been reading this board for a while and never mentioned anything. I have read the recommendations from fellow Fencers as to new possible weapons and after much thought I think that if they were to make our stun batons AP1 that would be a boost on its own without making us too Uber. This is just my 0.2. Please post your thoughts on this. Lets keep the comments civil please.

I am 3404 in fencer btw

TKs just want us nerfed because we can beat them in PvP.

Seriously though, I would love a stun baton that was ap1, but I also don't think it should be ap1. A baton should not have any armor piercing because it's a BATON. We do however really need a decent AP1 weapon, preferably a sword. (vibrosword anyone?)

Agreed. While new weapon suggestions are good, we should focus on getting existing ones bumped up from AP - to AP 1.

And anyone else find the nerf cries from the TKM ironic? I don't know about you, but in PVE, they always outdamage me by a ton. Pot calling the Kettle Black, methinks.

The stun baton shouldn't be armor piercing, in fact i don't think any stun weapon should be. If any fencer weapon should get armor piercing it should be the ryyk blade. With light armor piercing it would be a nicely balance weapon, plus it looks pretty cool.

I would have to disagree. With acklay batons, even post-nerf fencers are extremely powerful as is in pvp. With AP1, we would be even more so.

Oo. Making SBs AP1 would irritate a LOT of people.

No AP1 for the stun baton, its the only melee weapon that works as is in pvp right now.

I'm personally not so sure that we should get anymore AP1 weapons. Two-hand and TKA have to have some advantage over us (Pikeman is in a whole different ballpark). While I can't outdamage a TKM in pve using a gaffi, it seems kind of fair when I can fight a TKM who can dizzy/kd me maybe 1/5 times and do a total of 200 damage in a fight. Same goes for two-hand.

I laugh everytime I see a TKM or Two-hand try to kill me... poor guys don't do so well against 80%+ base armor.

As a Rifleman, let me tell you this. You don't want any AP 1 Stun weapons, the Jawa alone gets people wanting us nerfed for so many reasons.

Riflemen have AP 1 Stun Speed Cap em...

Riflemen Have AP 1 Stun nerf their damage....

Riflemen have AP 1 Stun make them go prone in PVP....

Riflemen have AP 1 Stun make their time playing this game hell.....

AP 1 Stun is begging Immortal Robocop Nerfherders to come into your forums and troll.

"Waaa I have 40% Stun Resistant composite and a 40% resistant Stun PSG I want that extra 50% damage reduction for AR 1 verse AP 0"

CM's are like nukes. You have them just incase you need them, but as soon as you start using yours the other guys start using theirs and everything goes to hell-PyschoticChipmunk -The First line of the Riflenomican.

Can people please stop excusing our weakness in PVE as some kind of balancing factor for our strengths in PvP? It's like comparing apples to oranges. PvP and PvE are completely different games in case things like the 75% damage reduction didn't clue you in to that fact. Besides, not all fencers like to PvP!

The fact of the matter is we could use a better selection of PvE viable weapons and the other melees need more viability in PVP. Go to the Swordsman boards and tell them: "Hey, it's cool that you guys completely suckat PvP because you're the most powerful class in PvE hands down!" You'll be flamed into the stone age and rightfully so.

So please, quit comparing PVP to PVE. It's not part of the devs balancing act. All classes are meant to have a niche in both aspects of the game. Strength in one is not an excuse for ineffectiveness at the other.

When bleeds worked, Fencer definitely had a nitch. Bleed them and dodge. Now that bleeds don't work, with a decent ackley gaffi you can still do a lot of damage. I would hardly say fencer is horrible for pve. There is very few stuff in pve that I truly can't kill using my gaffi (and for those I'll switch to my T21).

Night sister protector? Has medium armor. Dies to a fencer just the same as a TKM or a MHS. The difference is just in how long it takes.

Fencer is an excellent profession... just like TKA and Rifleman. Its one of the few working professions in the game. Sure I'd like some godly weapons, but they aren't needed. There is nothing that an ap1 stun baton is going to do for us in pve. That is a pvp weapon and you are delusional if you think otherwise. And along those lines, the last thing we need is to get even more nerf calls about our stun damage.
