Greetings,

First I'd like to say thank you to each of you for a number of things, formost has been your self regulating of template discussion to the Stickied Template Threads, I've only had to call in Gold Team a couple of times, and we're getting alot of good discussion where the forum was once riddled with Template threads.

Beyond that, thank you for the well thought out discussion on issues that persist in our profession and the overall well meaning tone of those discussion.

Second, there are alot of things happening behind the scenes and all the correspondents are working hard to get it all to a place where it can be communicated to you.

Now on to the good stuff.

There are a couple Devs who are working souly on the Combat Revamp (aka Combat Upgrade, aka SWG Combat System 2.0) it's a monumental task, and even though most of the Dev team is working only on JTL, the Combat Revamp is progressing with the help of TH and Tiggs who have been working hard prepareing the Documents... even Tyrant has been jumping in and helping out with them. And when the Bossman jumps on board you know things are looking up. (Well at least when the structure is that of what they have in Austin.)

We're going to be seeing alot of activity come the 27th of this month when the rest of the team hangs up their JTL hats (some Devs will still work on JTL but others will be transfering over to the CR team.

And suffice it to say 90% of our issues will be addressed in the CR in one form or another.

On that note, there are going to be alot of changes for us in the CR, I can't say what they are, but I can say that I personally think that they are awesome. However I suspect that the same changes that I think are going to be great, may not invoke the same response from some of you. Regardless I'm looking out for all of you when I'm discussing what "will" be with the Devs.

Some things I have on the top of my list.

1: A Memorial of some sort to Raphayl, I've gotten a few responses about this from a few Devs, and it is being worked on. No matter what it ends up being, there isn't a single person from myself to TH to the Dev team to Tyrant that doesn't want it to be done right. The downside is that things "done right" take time.

2: Special Move Animation acting like Dodge Animation used to, namely sticking you to the ground... this has been an issue forever and seems to be intermittant and thus harder to track down than the dodge problem. But it's still an issue... one I'd like to see fixed in the CR.

3: It's obvious there is a problem with the Junti Mace (the name of that Mace by the way) being given as an actual reward. Whatever the problem is it needs to be fixed, and thus it's on the list.

4: Fencer Weapons, there are a number of unused art files specifically for one handed melee, some of which I've seen and need to be utilized to give us some variety. I'm working to at least have one of the bladed art files be given Gaffi stats and made craftable so that we can at least have a new weapon that is a sword.

As for issues of balance in PVP well that's gonna get taken care of in the sandbox with the CR, and it's looking good so far.

We like all combat professions will have a very specific defined role to play in combat, which will be totally unlike any other profession. Every profession will become far more specialized, and there are a number of very cool changes that make what template you have less important than how you play your template, and who you group with.

And lastly there has been no new word on how many will be allowed in or when the Sandbox will start. And I still will not notify those who have been accepted till I recieve more concrete word. I'm hopeing this will be shortly after JTL release.

Thank you to those of you who like me have been here since the start, thank you to those of you who have joined us for whatever reason, and thank you to those of you who are looking at takeing up the Profession.

Good work Minerunner! 3 woot's and a big sausage wrap for you!

It'd be nice to get that Junti Mace made more available, as well as the prospect of getting a more fencer-like sword weapon, even if it has the same stats as the gaffi. I hope they don't get rid of the gaffi tho, its still cool in its own right.

Once again, good job!

Thanks.

I've been wondering if the CR was moving ahead in any way for quite some time.

Hopefully they do address the problem with animations impeding movement. Scattershiak2 has a 4 second animation, if i'm standing still when I use it then i'm planted in the ground for 4 seconds while that rifleman I was fighting has now kited me 30m away.

Right on MR, good to hear that stuff. As far as the art goes, if you've ever crafted then there are some objects in game that actually have 'skins' that you can choose at the last stage of crafting. I think that'd be GREAT for some art for our weapons.

but yeah, good to hear where things are at.

As one of those who worked with Raphayl on Test Center (many hours spent letting her smack my newbie character with every move and every weapon) I'm most vehement about this memorial. I would like to know if there's anything that I personally might do to help or encourage this. Having only received the news after being gone from the game for an extended period, I must apologize for the tardiness of my offer.

If there's nothing that I might help with, I will simply have to trust that this will not fall by the wayside.

Thank you for the update, too. I know it's hard to say much during times like this, and just letting us know that something is getting done is a great benefit to us all.
