Thread: IS MY TEMPLATE A WASTE OF SP???

I plan on doing the following:
TKA master
Master Fencer
4-0-4-4 pistoleer
I was wondering if i am wasting SP on cappeedstats, i am going pistoleer just for the defenses and stuff, i will not use a pistol in combat, and i also want my char to be a good PVPer

Why won't the Dodge from Fencer and Pistoleer Stack?

im pretty sure that the dodge stacks, cuz ive seen fencers get the dodge line in pistoleer.

just get tkm/master fencer pistoleer 1040 that way ur goin to have ur dodge completly capped and u dont need that last line in pistoleer because with tkm/master fencer ur melee def is already capped

Since you're posting in the fencer forums, I'll assume your main offense is fencer. In which case I would recommend changing your TK to 4304 since you won't need the offensive abilities of TK since they're pretty redundant having master fencer as well and changing your pistoleer to 1044 since dodge only stacks up to +125. That should free up some skill points for more medic or whatever.

I agree with the folks above that dropping pistol grips in order to reduce the amount you put your dodge over the cap and dropping master TKA and just keeping the defensive lines will help you to free up skill points for other more useful skills. If you drop to 0040 pistoleer and 4304 TKA, you can master brawler and get novice medic for stim B's. You'll get lunge2, warcry2and intimidate2 with master brawler and you'll get stim B's, which is just a nice security for PVE tanking, if you're knocked down or whatnot.
Your dodge will be at 105, combat equilibrium at 70, defense vs KD 120, defense vs dizzy 85, defense vs blind 90, capped melee defense, and ranged defense of 121 out of 125 possible. The only folks you'll lose to are kiting ranged, which you just don't follow and other melee defense stacking templates with better DOT weapons or better armor and use of foods/skills available.

don't forget master brawler, you need to have lunge2 and intim2. Thats a big advantage in pvp.

If he is TKM he doesn't need lunge 2 for a KD, and generally pvpers have lower posture down defense than KD defense so lunge 1 is good for fencer. Also, you need one box in the pistoleer dodge tree to put you over 125.
To be honest, I have been struggling with the same choices... I have 0040 in smuggler currently because of the pistol specials, feign death, and the title (Rogue), and I have ranged support 1-4 to get me almost to the soft cap in ranged D, but I dunno what I'd rather have, that stuff or master brawler... To be honest, at this point it's really about the title

the highest you can get dodge to stack is 100 like all the other stackable skills you then can use +25 skill tapes or get them to ad up to 25 giving you 125 dodge if you plan to pvp this is a good template but if you want to do NS or kryts then your going to need something with a little more fire power like swordsman or rilfe man.

no, you can stack dodge up to 125 which is the soft cap for melee and ranged def, counterattack, block, and dodge. in addition to 125 dodge from your template you can add +25 in skill tapes for a total of 150 working dodge skill, and then eat food on top of that.

I'm a TKM and Lunge2 is one of my favorite moves. It's basically the only move I have against kiters, since it's the only attack that gets even close to 20m and can knock them down so I can catch up to them.
