...Im using the Curved mostly because I got a decent one sliced to 214 2.3.But then again im using the noob baton 30% of the time for the massive dmg ( dont want to try and spell it atm ).

Oh and yes I have a 2 accounts, MBH and Doc/Fencer 0/2/0/1

Is the "noob baton" you are referring to the Gaderiffi Baton? If so, you will likely find that is one of the weapons of choice for Master Fencers. Especially since you will hitthe speed cap due to our speed, and has only 16 Mind cost (on a good one). That, the Vibroblade, and the Stun Baton, depending on the target.

The other weapons are decent mid-level weapons, but most of the time you will end up killing yourself faster than your opponent does from the high HAM costs on them.

certainly my first choice as a blademaster is the gaffi stick. It's 174-296 Speed 3.5. I love it so much because it has low mind cost unlike other one handed weapons.

My weapon arsenal consists of Gaderiffi Baton(285 3.5) Vibroblade(211 2.6) and a Stun Baton(170 2.6). The others are worthless.

I would say altoghether are best weapon is the gaffi stick(mines 175-293 3,4) vibroblade is usful(currently getting 1 crafted thats good) and stun baton is nice for taking things out like commandos with composite on hehe

My advice to you would be to buy a gaderffi baton or four and get them sliced hope for a nice speed slice and dont worry if 1 or 2 come out damage slices cause thats for when you hit footwork four

Nowi must go and wip some of the chimera(new euro server) weaponsmiths into shape currently they think making the odd vibroknuckler and the odd 30-100 3.2 curved sword and about 500 fwg5's a day is catering the whole market

I use a curved, and will as long as I can.

It's about 80-170... everyone ridicules me for using it on this forum which is quite depressing, but I stand by it partially because of roleplay and eh.. partially because... It's a godly weapon... My 220 damage gaderiffi simple has only 50% of its effectiveness in combat because the sword hits so **edit** fast if I berserk after a few state-changer specials.

Chart of the usefullness of our weapons:

Curved - So **edit** fast for such high damage... it's the perfect mix of vibroblade and gaderiffi. It hurts your HAM... If i get a bad run of specials in a duel with failures and misses I can HALF MY HAM with the thing. But........ I still win All the damage and disabilties i've recieved for the sacrificed HAM have made my enemy all but a flailing little moisture thief (In a good duel, which counts out all the **edit** one hit kill classes)... The HAM is far too much, but I still stand by it.

Gaderiffi - The damage is utterly sadistic, and should be banned galaxywide ;D The speeds nasty but if you use a lot of health hits and one-hand hits you will take down a target in a few strikes, if you don't feel they are worthy of the subtle quick specials you can deal with the vibro or curved.

Stun Baton - Makes composite = tin foil, useful for those specialist duels, or when you run into a pack of creatres (like scyk's) with a fair resistance to kinetic.

Vibroblade - As far as I can tell through never owning a good one its a very fast weapon with low costs, at the sacrifice of the serious damage, I expect when i recieve the one I have on order it will surpass the gaderiffi on my mental chart.

Ryyk - Not down here through faults, but lack of actual usefullness. It's a curved sword with a tiny bit less speed, and a little less damage... Just not worth touching unless you prefer the appearance, or the wookie made roleplay aspect.

Everything else is pointless! Leave it alone!

I recently made master weaponsmith and made some curved swords to nearly the same level of goodness.

Damage per swing is basically identical. The curved sword is faster by .2 or so.

The Ryyk has higher TOTAL HAM cost, but lower Action cost, which may be useful depending on your character.

I use the viroblade. I don't use much else. I took out 5 whites yeterday attacking me at the same time with my bleeds. I rarely use multiple weapons, but I sometimes go for something a little more damage causing when I attack imp bases. I just don't want to stand there for 10 minutes destroying some silly base. I can't stand the horrable ham cost of most weapons.

My experience was the curved sword was the way to go for me up until I got Footwork IV. That skill really made the profession work for me. I was able to use an excellent Gaffi stick at the same speed as the old sliced curved and do much more damage. I now use a Gaffi as my primary or vibro depending on the situation and carry a stun baton just in case.

Gad baton all the way. My current is 171-275 with a speed of 3.5 My current 1h speed bonuses cut my attack down to nothing.

I prefer using the curved sword at the moment. I buff myself a whole lot, then just use the bare-minumum in specials. I tend to mostly bleed (for those pesky critters that like running away alot), and blind (for those critters that hit hard).

I also have a good composite helm for my head. Being a doc, Mind is the most valuable thing that I've got.

Which reminds me, If anyone can help me get a REALLY good weapon on flurry (Anth) please send an email, I found some pretty good ones, but they're not as good as the ones some of you have..

i am a 3-2-3-3 fencer and i have a dmg sliced gaffi, and i still hit the speed cap. so that's my primary weapon, except during dueling, in which i obviously use the baton. i think they gave us the title 'duelest' because our batons are one of the few weapons that do stun damage, and the best composite i have seen had a 4% stun resist (haha).
