Thread: Ouch.. Fencer HAM costs..

The other night I dueled my wife in-game who is a TKM / master brawler. I used my Blademaster against her to see how I fared.. The opening moves were dizzy2 + lunge2 which kd/dizzied her. The rest of the fight was pretty much me pummling her while she was lying on the floor helpless.. After I get done fighting I look up and see that I've used over HALF my HAM just killing her!
She never got a hit in on me and yet my Health was so low... I'm just wondering how it would've been if she would've landed some attacks on me!

Buffs and brandi make that little concern. Just watch using stun batons when its not needed cause what Ive seen so far with a normal gafi and a normal stun, wht you are fighting would need to stop over 50% more of kinetic than stun to be worth while to use the stun baton and with stun panes gradually getting better, thats going to be hard to count on in PvP.

Yeah I love fencer HAM costs compared to TK and Carbineer. As a BH 0-4-0-0/Carbineer 3-4-4-4, I decided to do piket missions for a little cash while my friends were off. I figured I didn't need to get buffed. Sure I killed a piket plainswalker before it got to me, but you couldn't tell by looking at my HAM. I'll tell you this: I couldn't spam the final shot to kill it because I got the "You don't have enough pool points!" message.

lol, try a swordsman...
'sides, you'd only have to worry about HAMs if you use the gaffi or stun baton exclusively..

Heh just to back up what the others have said, fencers have some of the lightest HAM costs in the game. (Commando flame is better.)
HAM costs are just evil for anyone spamming specials unbuffed.

When I'm not buff and too cheap to use brandy, I like to use my vibro knife for the dizzy/lunge combo. Low ham cost and the range mods on the knife are really nice.

We also dish out the least amount of damage, so it takes more specials to take someone down.

Pikeman HAM costs are rediculous and their weapons suffer the most of any melee profession when you account for damage mitigation. Sure, the LVA has a good max damage, especially a looted one from a Nightsister, but the min damage is way below the max so you can see just how badly they're screwed over when it comes to melee damage mitigation 3.
In short, horrible accuracy mods aren't the Pikeman's only problem in PvP. And to my knowledge accuracy is already fixed. It still blows chunks... but it's "fixed".

honestly though, i don't know why anyone still uses the gaffi stick unless it's against a completely unarmored opponent (pvp or pve).

The lower mind ham cost are not bad. Plus who doesn't love the rusty pipe
