Well I can tell you why I stil use the gaffi stick. I dont have any special stun baton or anything like that so when you look at my300 damage gaffi, its nice. I know, its kinetic and things are resistant to kinetic all the time but unlees they have 50% more kinetic resist than stun resist counting armor layers, its more effective to stick with the gaffi, especially looking at HAM.
Maybe when I get a special stun baton this will change but for now, I use my gaffi the majority of the time. I just now am close to mastering fencer so Im not to worried about going out and finding one right now.

well have you looked into a vibroblade? top end vibroblades push 200 damage... it's kinetic but it has ap1. and the HAM costs are just amazingly low, not to mention better to-hit modifiers. even if you do use a gaffi as your main damage dealer, nothing says you can't use your vibroblade first to apply states or to dizzy/lunge. then when your opponent is lying nicely on their backs, switch to whatever else you want. that way it minimizes your HAM costs.

TKA is the exact same as Fencer with the HAM trust me just one dewback can take out more then half of my HAM.

Yeah but most of that damage is from the action pool. Fencers don't complain about HAM costs so much as we bemoan the large and unhealable drain to our mind pool that most of our specials inflict.
