Thread: What is wrong with u all ?

There are far too many posts in here about fencer being a bad proff, too low damaging. I invite and of you to log onto farstar and look me up, ill teach u how to use it and how to dish out the damage. I aint bein cocky, im not tryin to up set someone im just offereng my assistance. I have never seen anyone in full composite and full buffs die so fast as they do to a fencer since i started this game.

the fencer damage issue is by no means pvp. its in pve. anything with armor greater than light, and we're sitting in the dark. Most of the high-end creatures have some form of armor-resistance to stun and kinetic, and with medium or heavy armor, they (despite still being able to be killed) are mighty annoying.

Its all about pve. We cant do barely any damage to higher end mobs like NS. But every other melee profession can still put the hurt on them. God i love my two handed weapons they rip through all.

The way this game works is that you need to make a choice. To pve or to pvp. Tkm and fencer suck for pve as they only have kinetic and stun between them as has already been said. On the other hand swordsman totally tocks for pve thanks to its mind hits and blast damage from the power hammer. Pikeman is good in general day to day pve but try and use it againt high level mobs and u are screwed (its dam types are electricity and kinetic, energy too if ure lucky enough to get a night sister lance but u cant kill them to get one due to their resistances to your damage types). Fencer and tkm however totally rock for pvp so its a choice you have to make. In fact fencer is the best proffesion, second only to swordsman to do the geno caves with thanks to its spin attack, defences and speed.

Unbuffed a swordsman will suck at pvp because the HAM costs are about 110+, but from being TKM, Master Swordsman and Master Fencer, buffed up the Swordsman worked the best by farin pvp for me too.

Amen to that, speaking specifically of a melee pvp template you can easily make a monster from master swordsman and master dabbling. I'm not saying that it really is better than a Fencer or TKM in terms of pvp, since I find fencer better than swordsman myself, what I am saying is that there is no balancebetweenchoosing a melee prof atm.

For argument's sake, we'll say that fencer is equally as good at pvp as swordsman is at pve, however, swordsman is much better at pvp than fencer at pve. The same argument can be made about swordsman to tka.

In fact, as soon as they fix the accuracy mods of the pikemen, they'll be awesome, and can replace swordsmen in the previous argument, as they are already awesome at pve, but have a little issue (aka entirely broken) when it comes to pvp.

Aye TKM cant do **edit** against hight level mobs we only got kentic and light ap1 vk's so fencer's arnt that bad we got stun bation , but heavy swordman is the bomb in pve so is pikeman im told but they have heavey weapons IE. heavy swords and pike's so they should alway outdamage us in PVE anyway we are fast and near imposible to hit most of the time

TKM don't suck PvP, I saw one solo a mutated kwi while I layed on my back waiting for my incap timer to pan out = D

Plus with new stun layers for comp armor and lack of AP for stun batons goof sets of comp can have up to 40% stun resistance. Since the stun baton rivals only the vibroblade (our AP weapon) in damage and speed suckiness, stun batons will soon be obsolete in PvP combat.


And lastly, our weapon sets are the most boring of any other prof as well as being damn underpowered compared to 2-hand weapons. Displayed below are the compared stats of a 1-hand and 2-hand sword both unsliced and found at the same weaponsmith


2-hand curved sword

damage: 63-250

damage type: kinetic

armor piercing: medium

wound chance: 39.9%

attack speed: 2.5

HAM costs: health- 25 action- 56 mind- 30


1-hand curved sword

54-172

damage type: kinetic

armor piercing: none

wound chance: 36.9%

attack speed: 2.2

HAM costs: health- 24 action- 47 mind- 32


hmm.... what the hell? HAM costs nearly as high, 2 hundreths of a second faster, 2 armor piercing levels under, and substantially lower in damage for us fencers.

Highest stun layer atm on any server is only like 41% I think. If you can get a stun baton with a 35% dmg slice and a 16% max dmg power up u are still in good shape hitting stun layer comp armor. Also don't forget to use you scatter hits to take down their mind.

how do you guys figure fencer is so good at pvp i caint do crap with it , best baton i have seen or gotten on my server (bria ) with a damage slice was 200 max damage (not counting pre nerf acklay bone ones )against stun layer armor which most that i have seen is around 40% i caint do crap even using scatter hit to hope to hit the mind area i caint put a dent in anyone i have fought against . how on earth are you guys doing good at pvp ?

Well on are server fencer is the best melee prof in PVP it kicks ass, on a diferent note ive seen some peeps on here saying they are TKM fencer an swordman


how do you find this combo ie lack of medic and PVE to PVP as im thinking of going the same route as i was master swordman a and it is the best in PVE i also just love the profession
