I've sent the following message onto Fury_Chaser as well as Thunderheart. I feel this is an issue that needs to be address and would like for Chaser to come back to us as he logs in and is active on his servers board but has been sparse around here as of late. I feel we need a corrispondant that will be the middle man between us and the dev's as well as be creative enough to make new posts for us all to comment on. I have no spite or angst towards Fury_Chaser i just feel that we deserve/need some form of communication. I also urge you all to click on his name and review his postings that the forum tracks. Make a decision for yourself and then post here to discuss this issue.

I have noticed that after about the 26th of February your posts on the board in which you are a corrispondant have decreased dramatically. This concerns me as that you don't even seem to care or post why your not representing the Fencer profession for the community. Part of the job as correspondant is to keep up with the people on the Fencer boards and let them know your still around and to try to figure out what types of things you can post on. At least in my opinion this is what a corrispondant should do. If you no longer have the time to be corrispondant or the drive is just not there for you then please pass the torch onto someone who can relay information to and from the developers in a way that is pleasing to the community.

Most recently, well somewhat recently, on the 17th (your 3rd latest post on our forum which can be found at http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=fencer&message.id=21845#M21845 ) you state "Tough it out is the best i can say at this point" now personally i don't feel this is a proper thing for a corrispondant to say and I'm personally astounded that you would say this. If indeed you are waiting for the combat rebalance please focus on letting the community know and by leading disscussions.

I totally agree with you. I know that RL can be a sneaky little bugger, but we're getting rather lonely by ourselves.

and /love drrty

We really need an active corrispondant right now with the developers working on duel weilding. I've read some nice ideas about the topic here on the fencer boards that prolly won't getting taken seriously without and active corrispondant.

Unfortunalty you guys dont see what is happening behind closed doors. Yes I am active yes I make posts everyday, i am active in relateing issues of the Fencer community, and bringing points to the Devs that have good potential, bug hunting for fencer and brawler, playing on TC as well as playing with my friends on BF, all the while reading the majority of the posts on the fencer boards.......... So the one thing that I have not been doing? Posting new things on the Fencer boards.

What exactly do you want me to say?

What new issues have there been that I have not related to the devs? What news do I have from them? What do we have instore for the Combat Balance?

Unfortunatly I have nothing to say new related to fencers, there have been no new issues brought up that have not been brought before, I have had no new knews that I am allowed to relate to you, and I have no idea of what we have instore for the combat balance.

I will not however spam the fencer boards with nonsense or news of nothingness.

Good Day thank you
Chaser

What i think most people are looking for is the attention that other corrispondants give their boards. From our view you post maybe once a week if that. I understand that there isn't alot you can relay to us and that there isn't much broken with us so we don't get immediate attention from the dev's but by not posting and finding creative ways to post to us you make us feel abandoned out in the cold. I am only looking for some attention from you on this board as when i look at your posting on the boards they have gotten far less after you became corrispondant and i would imagine they would either stay the same or even increase after you get the position. I know i don't speak for anyone other than myself on this but its how i feel and thought it should be shared as a concern to our profession.

Well, I can't say much about these forums, but Chaser (As I believe you like to be called, right?) has definatly been active on the c-forums trying to get some information to share for you guys, and he is doing really well in my opinion. All in all, hope to be visiting this forum more myself, as I'm grinding up fencer on my character

I believe what Drrty is trying to bring to light is the lack of contribution to these boards. Some information or discussion on topics that are being posted is SOMETHING to let the community as a whole know that yes, their correspondent is still very much active and yes, our concerns are most important as well. I do not think that overall he was attempting to state that Chaser wasnt doing behind the scenes stuff.. but behind the scenes is just that.. something that those that are not privy are not able to realize.

Rather than taking offense, I would have taken this as constructive criticisim and moved forward to find out what my community needed, participated in a few discussions, started a few of my own. Hell there are several posts that were made today alone that Chaser could have chose to participate in, letting the community know hes there reading (instead of letting us assume). Say what you want in defense. The lack of participation in open forums speaks for itself.

Listen in the few posts I make during daytime hours im at work, I cannot post to every issue that is made here, and I try not to post on redundant issues that have already been discussed or are already in a sticky thread.

I too am at work. I however, do not work 24 hours a day and make an hour at home forum reading time AFTER work. That hour I also eat dinner, fold a few clothes, watch news.. boring stuff allowing me to play uninterrupted for the most part if I so choose (and often do).

Regardless if its redundant or not, your community is looking for a correspondent that can show their presence a bit more. To someone posting they may not know its a redundant issue or something thats been stickied. Does it truly take that much time to post a few letters and click submit post? I didnt think so.

Again you appear to be taking the defensive when all that is being brought to light is merely constructive criticism.Im not trying to be harsh, not even trying to make personal jabs at you. Im pointing out what Isee (as well as a few others here) and felt that it needed to be addressed. Im listening. Are you?

How do people judge a persons 'tone of type' I hate message boards for that specific reason.

Nice. Still on the defensive. /applaud

you missed the point, I am not on the defensive

this is pathetic. chaser gives his time for you guys sharign your ideas with the devs and trying to make this class all that it should be then u make this post asking for a new correspondant because he doesnt post here in the little less than important "Is fencer good? how can i be uber? anyone have acklay bones?" posts. To me this is a good sign and shows that he is actually doing his job instead of just chatting it up. Show him some respect.

Sorry that you read it that way, however in my second sentance of my first post i state "and would like for Chaser to come back to us" now if you interprate that as asking for a new corrispondant then i apologize for your mistaken views on this situation. Hopefully Chaser knows that i was not asking to replace him and only seeking him to become more active on the fencing forum. THATS MY CONCERN... he may represent us in the corrispondant forum however from *MY* perspectave he hasn't represented the Dev's or the the issues being disscussed in our forum back to us. I have been trying to stress that the words i write are from my own persective and admit that no one has sent me a PM or anything regarding this issue so i just speak for myself. I think Chaser has the opportunity to be a great corrispondant however i would like to see him more active with the community much as other corrispondants are in my opinion.

So in closing i hope you understand my stance on this and i hope Chaser knows as well, i have no hard feelings to him and i hope he has none towards me.

Drrty, you need to chill just a bit, we all do understand what you mean an what your stressing. But certain factors come into play, some people work longer an harder hours then most given that is a granted. Fury_chaser may be working on things we do not know about that is helping us. He cannot tell us what they may be cuase if or maybe those ideas will not be used or are still under work. Thus we cannot be told until sony is ready to let us know. As a tester/corrispondant they have certain ablities an certian restraints they must abide by. But, fury_chaser has been some what gone from the boards, but most likely he has been keeping up with what we been saying. Sometimes the best person for the job is a listener, I bet he's been listening an reading as much as he can. His posts may be a bit low, due to he is helping resolve other issues with our class in game, in test or possibly in other area's were not allowed to view. So give him a break, in time we will see what he is working on an what is going on. Again be paitent, an try to have faith in your board corrispondent. ^-^
