So what is your dream fencer weapon?
Here's mine.
"Ice Blade" a sword created with a high power refrigeration unit built into the handle. A special liquid is cooled to an extremely cold temperature and is sent up into arazor thin metal strip that goes up along one side of the sword and endswith a sharp point at the tip of the blade. When the metal contacts someone, extra damage is dealt if they do not have protection against the cold.
It would obviousy have cold for its damage type.. and it would have AP1.
To craft it you would need to get the schematic... (very similar to how you get the schythe schematic .. not an uber loot drop)
It would require nym vibro motors as the lootable component.
The average damage of the weapon would be around 210-280 damage (unsliced). With extremely good components making the damage around 240-310. Weapon speed around 4.0-4.5 seconds. HAM costs would have high action/medium health/ and low mind
It wouldlooklike a ryyk blade except with no curve andwith a mechanical handle. When a special move is used blue/white sparks would spray from the blade and a bright flash would come from the tip.
Whadya think? And what would your weapon be like?
Oh yeah btw. This is not a "Fencer needs a better weapon" post.. this is just an "I can dream can't I?" post

that'd be an awesome weapon. but i am more of the fire type....so for me instead of having it ice i would want it a flaming sword...oooooo....

The Electrosaber. =D
AP0 or 1, damage comparable to the gaffi, damage type is electric. It doesn't need to uber, just usable.
It's all about the aesthetics for this one. A long straight blade with a stylized guard hilt. Electricity arcs up and down the blade, produced from a mini-generator hidden in the hilt (special component). During attacks and especially special moves, it trails sparks in the air for a couple seconds after each swing. ^_^
The only problem is that it would probably require a different stance and attack set than the standard one used for the other weapons. =/

Yeah, me too. But I'd like to see a little more technology in the melee weapons. This is so it will be more realistic in the fact that these swords can outdamage futuristic lasers and all.

around 250-400 or so damage usnlcied (but uber rare)
look similar to a two hand cleaver but a lot smaller

a nice AP 2 stun batton would be really nice, but not realistic.

as cool as that would be, i don't want to know how many graphics cards you could fry with that weapon lol it'd be worth it for the first part though

Chainsword, powersword, or vibro cutlass. Yeah the chainsword (heavy AP chainsaw for a blade) and powersword (energy field encircled blade) are from a totally different genre that being Warhammer 40k.
Their effects are still devestating and are 1 handed weapons....plus they're considered heavy AP.

Ahh what a great topic =)
My dream weapon for Fencer would be a sword made of pure crystal. Similar to the Mono Katanas in the Cyberpunk Roleplaying game.
Particulars on it would be something akin to:
Medium AP
extremely fast(I know fencer speed is an issue but still!)
Low to mid damage perhaps something like 100-200
And an optional lighted feature so as to make the blade glow with whatever light color was installed faintly... nothing like a lightsaber glow but just enough to make the blade a different color.
Resources would be plenty of Gem type resources with perhaps the schematic being something you get as a reward/loot for doing something spiffy like the corvette missions or something.
I mean it does make since that some eager beaver weaponsmith out in the galaxy would come up with a weapon that resembled a lightsaber.
Oh and since we are talking about wishlist here kinda... How about the ability when not in combat to sheath your weapon that way you could have it hanging at your side or accross your back... that would be SOOO cool!

Just give this fencer a freeking rapier. Any sword with a long thin blade, high speed, low damage, ap 2, good range mods.... mmm mmm good.
