anyway a comando should lose to a fencer in a one on one close combat fight

I was wondering if anyone els thinks Fencers are out of control! I Decided to do some PVP in Coronet. Im Comando/TKM..figured it would be preety easy.


Haha..Right.


I Shot him with Falme 2..nothing....he fliped me over and i got up...Flamed Again..nothing...*Incap Music* So i did a quick Force Of Will..hoped up and Flamed again..NOTHING! Not one hit..not one Flame DOT NOTHING..so i ran with a little health and did Sup-Fire with my nice FWG5...NOTHING..after trying to Supress for about 6 times he cought up and Incpaed DB me..ok lets review.


3 Falmes = No DOT no Damage.


10+ Suppresion Fires= No Damage no Suppression...


(I figured not to try TK sense it does 100% nothing to Fencers)...Now..


Fencer uses 92 Skill Points.


Same as TK..Swordsman and Pikeman.


Comando Takes 169 Skill Points...


Now im probley gonna get ranted out of here but..befor you Respond please


1. Read Whole Board


2. Really Really think about Skill points amount ect!


3. Read Post Over again if u dont under stand anything.



PS! I was waring 80% Armor!!

Commando was nerfed too much. Measures for balance lead to just making a new FOTM. I personally think that fencer with high defenses and lower offensive output is good. Acklay bones are making the profession Godly for pvp. If you have decent stun armor the AP0 and damage of a regular stun baton are negligible. I'm thinking you'd have had a better fight if you were a riflemen (less sp's than a commando) due to the accuracy and speed mods. Commando currently is not worth the sp's imo - really too bad.

To hit a fencer with their high dodge and center of being going (and because many have pistoleer also) you either need extremely high range mods on your weapon or to have eat citros snow cake or other range food. That part I like - I just don't like seeing folks running around with 900 dmg batons. My $.02

I believe you were wearing 80% armor, but what about stun layered armor. And last I knew commando's have crappy range mod's, and that to fencers ability to dodge, and CoB. sounds about right. What you should have done was drop the flamer and go tk on him. but that would be the smart thing to do. And with you running, there goes your accuarcy with your FWG5. Also did you have any food, synthsteak, brandy, thakilto? Did you have a PSG? Were you buffed? Sounds like you came un-prepared. Next time come prepared.

You cant say that we are out of control based off of a single uncontrolled fight. There are far too many variables to make such an assumption. Is he a dabbler...was he on air cake...did he have a PSG ? Did you remember to do "that thing" to cancel out his dodging? The number of Skill Points has nothing to do with the effectiveness of a combat class, nor should it be.

I know fencers are not gonna agree but the other professions dont like it..theres many things and ive known many many many ppl to complain and say its nuts and over powerd. Not just me

OMG


just been killed by an overt comando in coronet


not knowing that there flame thrower did heat damage i didnt put my correct armor on and he did 2k damage in one hit i mean OMG nerf nerf




yes fencers have strong defence but learn the counters and you will be set

Im getting destroyed in PVP by Fencers. Im a Master Riflman and I can't even hit them? And when they hit me it's stun damage, most of the time none of the damage is mitigated by my Armor or Synthesteak. I usually get hit for 400 damage by fencers and with a ham bar of about 3500 let's say I die really fast. Now fencers are defeating jedi gaurdians in duels INSANE!!
