Thread: Scatter hit2 is getting the nerf bat this publish?

Someone in guildchat is trying to convince me of it, and I'm arguing that this would be the kind of thing that would probably not get changed until the combat balance.


Since neither of us are on the test center, we can't verify if there's a change coming on it. Can any fencers there confirm this?

A friend of mine said Scatterhits were fixed on TC, by not hitting the armor-hole.


I laughed at him and said Scatterhit (from fencer) works fine, it doesnt hit the 'armor hole' because the 'armor hole' is fixed.


Atleast im yet to Hit it/be hit by it, and iv chewed through about 4 suits of comp, 20 of ubese.



I think what they mean by 'scatterhits beinf fixed is SOME, (Tk combo, Scatterblast, im not sure about Fastblast from BH) say 'You use Scattershot on Boogieman for 1 damage' or somewhat like that.



thats the only 'bug' I am aware of at the moment..I could be wrong, but scatterhit seems to work fine in all cases, except on the 'for 1 damage' thing.

Fastblast is what prompted the bugfix.

What was happening was Fastblast was piercing Jedi defenses [Force armor I believe].

Scatterhit2 I believe had the same 'bug'/quirk, in that they ignore certain defenses. But frankly couldn't tell you if it was one of the attack moves "fixed" by the item.

It's not a nerf, it's a fix. A fix that has been long in the making.


It was a bug that scatterhit2 went through melee/saber toughness, and defenses like dodge and countterattack. It was never working as intended and now it's being fixed.

lol nerf?!??!


Every single PvPing fencer has been constantly exploiting a bugged special and you have the audacity to come on here and claim its a nerf??? It's called a Fix, and its one of the best fixes to come in ever.

Wanna hear something more depressing.... They fixed ap in pvp. On live ap doesn't work in pvp, but works in pve. On tc2 they fixed it, so that t21(ap2) and the like will get the bonus (25%) in piercing armor (ap1=comp). Which means that fencer weapons (ap0) are reduced by 25% (which accually fixes vb).... this will effect your stun weapon too reducing it by 25%. On live you attack a nonstun layered comp suit and it bypasses the ap1. Which is a good thing since they are going to nerf armor to a max of 60% resist(give or take).


This is testing... it's all fixing what's been long over looked (since release day). Hopefully dual weild will help in the future.

On live, If a fencer hits someone wearing stun armor with a stun baton, the dmg is reduced by the % of the stun resists and an additional 50% due to theLight armor rating.


What they fixed on TC is medium and heavy armor piercing weapons not getting +% to damage against light armor.

Call it whatever you like. I had some level 10 pets that were 'fixed' so that I couldn't use them anymore. I had some harvestors that were 'fixed' so that their max capacity was 2278 units. I had some great probot droids that were so 'fixed'they couldn't be found anymore. There was I time I could stack 4 health bleeds on an opponent until that was 'fixed', although I seem to still enjoy full damage from poisons, and I still get to enjoy many fights from the flat of my back totally unable to stand up.


Things thatso unbalancedthatthey make the game unfun for everyone trying to playneed to be 'fixed'. A class that is designed for high defence and low offense(and seems to have found that balance) doesn't need to be 'fixed'. But I guess that is a matter of perspective, and the devs agree with your perspective, not mine.


That's ok. I'll find something else to entertain myself with.

It hits for the same said damage as another 4x attack..... atleast mine.


just over two pools, thus 2x the GROSS damage.


I use it because it hits mind.


I dont play TC, i got to fed-up with the lag, so no idea whats on there.


but on LIVE, Scatterhits work fine, I sure dont see it ignoring tk's unarmed toughness..
