What would you guys say is the best way to get to novice fencer? I'm a master 1h sword guy and grouping really doesnt work because of the Teri Kasi who do 500 dmg before i do 80. any ideas?

Just wondering.. how are you doing 80 damage? I'm a master 1h and I do anywhere between 150 and 300 to multiple enemies at once.

TKA are way better than 1hs. But don't let that stop you! We can do like 300 damage to multiple enemies... That isn't so bad if there are 3 or more!

Truthfully TKA are a bit overpowered compared to us. They do more damage, require less equipment, plus they have WAY WAY better defense.

Well...tkas are advance proffession...obviously they do more dmg than a 1h swordsman. Are there any fencers than can tell me a comparison between the two?

Thanks

Back to the subject.

Given your skills you have earned from being a swordsman you have several choices:

Spin hit - kill nests quick. In a certain nest on corellia each enemy gave me roughly 250 xp. In one nest I fought about 6 to 8 of them. That's 1500 to 2000 xp plus the nest itself.

Dizzy+lunge - kill single red humanoid. If you can single out a humanoid, say... a master thief that cons red, you can down him pretty quick (lunge, then dizzy ofcourse) and smack him around with bodyhits. If he gets up, and the dizzy didn't wear off, just lunge him again. If the dizzy wears off then repeat the dizzy+lunge. The only problem I have with this tactic is that I run out of HAM with my curved sword, which sucks. A red con humanoid can give you approximately 300-800 xp depending on what you fight. It's more risky but you get loot.

Hit and run - group with some people on Lok. Go find a big monster. When your group appropriately pulls one out and everybody opens fire, run in and do a body hit.Don't stop, keep running and pray that the monster doesn't hit you. If you succeed, turn around and do another run. Keep repeating this. You can usually do pretty good damage with this and stay relatively safe.A good monster will give you about 800-1500 xp if you work hard and don't die. Also, if you meet Nyms on Lok, tell your team to pull one and just dizzy them. You will get a LOT of xp doing this.

North and south of coronet there are a lot of giant gubburs. Slay them for 250 each.

If I can remember correctly, each diseased rabbit looking thing gave me around 400-600xp.

Those big frog looking things on tatooine outside of bestine takes about 3-4 spin attacks and will give you about 200-400xp each.

Each kreetle on tatooine gives you 49 xp (round it off to 50 for math's sake). If you hit the kreetle nest once you can get them to spawn and have them all nicely crowd around you. One spin hit will generally kill all of them at the same time. There might be a few stragglers though. So, given my try, I killed about 8 or 9 kreetles, giving a total of 400xp plus the next within a very short amount of time.

I am a novice fencer and i can tell you that my one hand hit 2, hits 780-850 damage. I'm not exactly sure how much my spin attack hits, but i'm sure it does a great deal of damage cuz i use it when i'm surrounded and in a matter of seconds, everyones on the ground, LoL! I really don't use berserk much, but the last time i used it, man was i just slicing things up, but i just don't like the fact that you can't do specials, so i stick with non-berserk, eh. Just so everyone knows, I'm using a crafted baton thats 52-121 damage, and 5.5 speed, so imagine when i have an elite curved sword, ryyk blade, rantok sword, or even a stun baton??? huh? did somebody say tko...i'm sorry, tka LoL! When i say elite, i mean really crafted with the best of materials otherwise, its crap. So until we fencers get the best crafted weapons, we can't say who's better so just wait and see. I'm all about Master Fencer, so lets own these tick taks! lol

TKA profession hits for 1k plus, and has way better defense. They also get meditate and other useful abilities.

Everyone agrees they are more powerful.

I am a Master Unarmed, Expert 1Hs user so can give you some comparison.

With Master Unarmed , typical hit with /unarmed hit 1 is for 140-150 or so, also have /stun for around 130 and blind for around /130 for debuffs and the spin attack on multiple enemies for around the 150 mark also. Getting to Novice TKA will provide a good bump in dmg since you get +20 unarmed damage at Novice TKA.

With Expert sword, using my own player made sword which is only 80dmg speed 4.5 I normally hit for around the 250 mark with the sword.

Often I start with the unarmed to debuff etc , and do my base dmg with the fists then when the target is quite damaged, switch to the sword since I can then use /bodyhit to force it to health damage since you don't get focused HAM attacks in Unarmed till you are almost at Master TKA. Often with pure unarmed fights I end up with the mobs well down in all 3 bars rather than the focused damage you get with a weapon. This is Unarmeds biggest weakness prior to TKA.

Sword is just as effective as TKA in killing things as the brawling , just play to your strengths. The brawlers biggest advantage is they are tougher from what I've seen and more so with TKA. In tight fights I always drop back to unarmed since my defence is higher with unarmed skills.

First of all thank you very much for the exp tips

Second I very very strongly agree with the TKAs much more powerful than the Fencer. I dont know if i should start a "All we are saying is nerf the TKAs and give fencers a chance" string but i checked the +s for TKA and Fencer and just didnt seem logical. You would think that the TKAs very nice power to only need a viroknuckles and be super happy over my countless time finding a Ryyk Blade or all the trouble of beating jabbs palace( TRYING to beat i just got past the first part) would give us maybe a bit better stat +s. Instead why not play a little trick on the fencers and not GIVE them a few +s BUT GIVE the TKAsa lot more +s. haha almost as funny when we delected the jedi coding . so i dont see why they should be much more powerful. This is like an employe of exact same status getting paid less than a guy with Health benefits. that might not be the best way to describe it but its the best i can do for now.

One last question. When you say the Lunge then Dizzy you mean lunge 2 right?
Thanks
