  • Added the reinforcement core as a required component to gaderiffi baton, stun baton, two-handed axe, and power hammer. The addition of the component will enable the weaponsmith to impart component bonuses on these items (making them more in line with other weapons).

  • Slightly reduced the HAM costs on the gaderiffi baton, stun baton, two-handed axe, and power hammer to compensate for the extra HAM cost given by using the reinforcement core.

At last they're addressed the Fencer's 'class' weapon - Any weaponsmiths have some stats/prices on what a post-patch Stun Baton now is? I'll be looking to buy one if they're half-decent, and so will everyother Fencer I bet!

I'll be charging 10k, like I would for any Tier 4 weapon. Should be making them by Fri night. If the resource cost it incredibly low, I might charge less, I'll just have to see.

That would be a fair price on the Eclipse server, Chief.

I saw this on a post about the new cores as they appeared on the Test Center:

    "Reinforced Core - 12 Metal - min 19 - max 19 , spd -0.48 , wound 9"
    "Advanced Reinforced Core - 25 Ditanium Steel - min dmg 38 , Max dmg 38 Speed -
    0.54 , Wound chance 11"
    "Likes Unit Toughness"

Do any smiths know if these numbers just stack right on top of the existing weapon stats?

Wow, that is much nicer. Makes it more likely to be used in some situations. Though It still looks to be good verus NPCs and PCs and not creatures, since creatures still may have stun damage resistances.

wow. i must say i'm impressed. The damage and speed are much better. Add the min damage plus speed plus stun dam you got a nice weapon no matter what the HAM. The HAM is higher than i would like but the min damage makes up for it its twices as high quality non sliced vibroblades or at least the ones i have seen. definately better definately a must now instead of the personal preference that it used to be.Now we fencers can have two different typ of weapon damage ith one having stats weak as medium quality weapon when it was made with high quality parts.

Looks like this puts the damage output in the same range as a vibroblade vs. AR0 opponents. HAM cost jumped up a lot though.

I just had a master WS on Flurry make a couple of the post patch Stun Batons. I had 2 experimented on damage, and one on HAM. These are not sliced yet, so i have some high hopes.

    Max DMG experimented:

    • Condition: 919/919

    • Speed: 2.7

    • Damage: 86 - 128

    • Wound: 14.1%

    • Range Mod: +5/+5/+5

    • HAM costs: 18/48/45

    ********************************

    Max DMG experimented:

    • Condition: 919/919

    • Speed: 2.6

    • Damage: 86 - 128

    • Wound: 14.1%

    • Range Mod: +5/+5/+5

    • HAM costs: 18/48/42

    *******************************

    Max HAM experimented

    • Condition: 919/919

    • Speed: 3.4

    • Damage: 70 - 101

    • Wound: 12.9%

    • Range Mod: +5/+5/+5

    • HAM costs: 14/37/35

As i said before, none of these are sliced. The HAMs on the top two are pretty rough on me, but the speed/dmg after a slice will be as good or better than my butterknife. The HAM on the bottom is much nicer although the dmg is pitifully close to pre patch batons. With a lucky slice on the speed, a master fencer could have this thing at the speed cap and could make a decent weapon at times. A damage slice on it would render it useless because the speed is just too slow. This is, of course my opinion, and you can make your own Oh and a quick plug for Grym, the master weaponsmith on Flurry who took the time to make these for me.

Quick update, i had all 3 sliced tonight, and results were very good. Aside from the bad HAM costs, i think the new stun batons blow away everything else we currently have. I'll just list the best of the 3.

The 2.7 speed baton i listed above had its damage sliced to 108 - 161. That makes it better than my favorite vibroblade and curved swords. I believe the stun baton is now a very viable weapon choice even though it's ugly and a stick.

Oh, and dont bother having a WS experiment on HAM primarily, the dmg/spd even after a good slice makes it useless junk, even though it has lower HAM.
