i got a vibroblade with 58-195_2.6spd_24.2wound_14//26//14
i dont see how a stun baton with such high costs could beat this ...since i use my mind pool for special attacks(action and hp are doctor buffed)

My stun batone is 122-179 2.2 ham 15/42/41. I use doc buffs as well. my mind/foc/will are maxed and i never have mind ham cost problems. Could grub some chef food or spice if you dont want to raise your mind stats. My stun baton crushes your vibro blade even with vb ar1. seems 80% of the galaxy is vulnerable to stun anyway. Gaffi's are reaching 150+-300+ damage with 45/45/15 average ham costs. The vibro butter knife is a thing of the past now. Come to the light.

I would like to experiment with a master-crafted stun baton (I am on Eclipse) but my reaction is that they are unlikely to be useful against anything that does not have extremely high damage protection for kinetic. I believe stun batons are also AP0, which should mean that they are at a disadvantage to vibroblades except where the difference between the protections against kinetic and stun is high enough to erase the armor piercing benefit.

If you know about resists, then you'll see the stun baton is a far better choice. My stun baton does 150.5 per attack. The vibroblade he posted (close to the best i've seen) does 126.5. Add 25% extra for ar1 and thats 158.1 damage per attack. Now that 7.6 might seem the better of the two, but we are not bringing into play the creature resists. I've killed enough creatures to become master 4 times over so i'm well aware of most of the resists and vulnerabilities of a high % of creatures in SWG. 80% of what i've come across is vulnerable to STUN damage. Using the vibroblade against a mediocre 10% kinetic resist creature reduces the 158.1 damage to 142.29 damage. Most likely (80%) of the time that creature will be vulnerable to stun and the stun batons damage will remain 150.5. Now compare, the numbers are there. If you come across an armor2 creature, check if its stun vulnerable and beat it down like it had no resists. If it has stun resist, put your weapons away and move along.
