Thread: Dizzy-Lunge, when does it stop being effective?
I doubt we'll get a nerf as our class is holding on to its last breath with these two skills. And it's not like knockdown-shots because
A: we have to run there and
B: it's two skills, not one that compose this attack
I don't know why TKAs think they're so bad and can own us so easily. You can't use your vibroknucklers when you're pinned down on the ground helpless and unconscious....
I'm just a newb in 1-h sword (expert, working on master), but it seems dizzy lunge attacks against humanoids is a bit too effective. In pve, it doesn't seem to last as long against human mobs butyou just repeat the move and they'll be back on the ground. In a duel againsta master unarmed player (heh he dueled me and was expecting to win), once he was quickly on the ground he was never able to get back up before he was incapped.
So my question is does this move become less effective against higher lvl human mobs and higher skilled players (who have defense bonusesagainst dizzy, forcedposition changes, etc)? or should we expect a nerf similiar to the knockdown nerf?
It's definitely getting weaker. I used to rock against Stormtroopers, but yesterday I got hammered like a sorority girl at a frat party.
I'm worried that they may be adjusting our main offensive combo.
hmmm then master brawler it is lol ima chef fencer and soon to be master brawler ![]()
thx for the info!
o ya i was just wondering but which do u do first lunge or dizzy? lol ![]()
I always Dizzy then lunge, sometimes they get up fast enough to avoid the effect of your dizzy if you lunge first.
And yes it will not get nerfed in my oppinion as it was designed to be used in sucession with eachother. Presumably as a balancing factor in that each of the other melee professions and all the ranged professions outdamage us signifigantly in the begining and later even out.
I should point out that if you will notice when you are doing it those two actions are the most HAM draining actions you will ever encounter. So be wary of when to switch to Berzerk, I useually do so immediatly following my sucessfull lunge.
Incidentally creatures with two legs are more suceptable to it because well they don't have 4 to prop themselves up on.

Flux, thanks but I've been Dizzy/Lunging for 3 months. I've seen far more times when with Lunge1 you will have to redo Lunge after dizzy... because the NPC gets up before Dizzy succeeds.
Lunge 2 takes care of this forcing them to go much farther allowing more time for Dizzy to succeed after lunge2.
But if you don't go Master Brawler route it is much more consistant to Dizzy Then Lunge.
Oh and nothing is totally immune to this combo, Quills or 4 legged alike can get caught by it (you will have to watch combat spam to see this,) but non humanoid NPC's are all VERY resistant to this. So much so that it isn't a viable tactic versus monsters.
