For a while people have been saying Fencer is good for pvp b/c of its Def, etc..... and if you Put it with TKM, it could be very good....but recently, well on the corbantis server atleast, I have been seeing much more swordsman owning in Pvp....

So im asking the Fencers who have used Swordsman before, What in your opinion is better for Pvp

are you drunk? what didyou just say?

i'm sure someone is going to say 'it depends on your armor/clothing attachments, weapons, food, armor, strategy, blah blah blah' which makes perfect sense, but i'llget that out of the way. when my master swordsman attacks any master fencer so far, i get owned... i tried a friendly duel with a tk/brawler/fencer, and icouldn't hit him with 6 tries or so..prior to that when i attacked when we were bothovert and opposite factionswithout kd resist food, iwaskd'd and db'd quick as ***$#!^***. as i should have figured out from the only 3 prof hehad mastered..

The reason they might be owning is because of a 700 max dam + acklay power hammer. Fencer all the way, and you know why because I was the first one on Corbantis and haved stayed fencer ever since. Just take some pikapita pie and a swordsman won't hit you that much.

No good Swordsman will use a Powerhammer in PvP cause lack of accuracy...Scythe is the way to go....a powerhammer is only good for pve....f.e. killing at-st´s... To deal some damage as a fencer in pvp u need "uber-acklay-uber-damage-sliced-weapons"...a friend of mine is master brawler/tka/pikeman/3-4-4-0 fencer....doing friendly duell(doc and mindbuffs)as a fencer i have no chance against him as tka...no matter armored or not....im capped at dodge and eating aircake for some extra dodge boni, running CoB and getting hit nearly every second attack...if he switch to pikeman i can give him a pretty good fight and get him incap without wearing armor...wearing armor i get owned as a fencer....doing this duell with my trusty scythe(im spd-capped with it, havin a +10 sea for 2-handed-spd.) i own him as tka and pike...wearing armor or not...

Well, if the swordsman is capped on speed and acc +25/+25, with a 1k damage PH(yea they are plentiful), then the PH can, and is a viable option in PvP. That much damage still hits for a punch through armor. Although 1v1 vs fencer melee mit does it in.

Overall fencer is better for PvP. But in a prepared duel aka both parties are fully uber buffed, all pools, on food, wearing full80+/40 armor and a PSG, the duel will take forever.

With all things equal, Swordsman will win. Simply due to damage, the swordsman can hit you for much more than you can hit him as a master fencer. Granted I love master fnecer, I like hardly getting hit, not needing armor, etc. But if I was to fight a prepared rifleman or swordsman, I would run (unless I can close in onthe rifleman). I don't think there is anything wrong with any of the two professions, but with the way armor and buffs work, fencers simply due to little damage in PvP. (I am assuming both are hitting at speed cap, have full buffs, same food, etc.).

My history in PvP as a master fencer is that I was able to defeat every profession (except a jedi never dueled one) and also lost to every profession, equipment and preparation are key.

Cause fencer will beat a swordsman hands down. Swordsmen are just too slow and too inaccurate to compete against any of the other melee professions in PvP. With fencer melee defense and dodge, and the fact that they can do stun damage, anyone who loses to a swordsman in pvp really needs to work on their pvp skills..

I´m no uber pvp-guy but know how to play my melee-profs...as a master fenceri have nearly no chance against a spd-capped swordsman with his scythe(ap2)...stun-bat(ap0) is no big thing when your opponent wears some stun-armor(ap1)/psg...fencer can deal no big damage in this armored/buffed world...

The same question could be asked of you, swordsman can be very very good in pvp, with a nice scythe or powerhammer and capped speed with some accuracy tapes. And if the swordsman eats a citrus snowcake +40% accuracy then they will hit very often, and swordsmen have some very nice mind hits. I find it impossible to do any damage in pvp with fencer against a prepared opponent so i often switch to tkm, a friend dueled me with his 300 - 600 baton and my health could regen faster than he could damage me.

did you (the fencer) use dizzy+blind+posture change on the swordsman? Scatter hit 3 is kind of shady cos it hits all 3 pools at once so even if they block it, it still seems to hit the other 2 pools (neat).

The only swordsman that ever beat my fencer hybrid (yes I was stacked to the max) was a swordsman/doc and a swordsman/cm and they didn't really win because of swordsman but because of their second profession. Intimidate seems to really killfencer uberness.

Just my 2 cents.

A big difference is that swordsman can hit the mind pool, while fencer can only target the health pool.Anythingelse is a scatter or lucky hit. If you're fighting a buffed opponent, good luck getting him down with your hits before he drains your mind... plus it's a double whammy against fencers because using specials while buffed will draw from your mind pool.

fencer can be better but a uber swordsman can beat a master fencer with out sweating if the fencer is not got strong defences and stuff (foods ect ect)

as a wookiee swordsman i beat a TKM and master fencer at once now they weren't the smartest people but they were both trying to use there "best" moves to kill me at the same time but i believe fencer can be better for pvp(but i don't know yet over half way done grinding fencer)

thats my thoughts
