OK heres the story, I'm master fencer and master doc. I love the fencer skill but I can not kill a TKA.

I duel one in the guild 5 times and he knocked me down every duel and also incap me everytime.

I started off with warcry and it did not stick. I tryed to start off with blind and i got it to stick but he KD me right after that.

I need a reason to stay fencer, the wepons suck and hell the stun baton is nothing but a waist of time, the only thing it stuns ismy bank account.

I love fencer but i must be doing something wrong, also one handed lung is worthless because i noticed it works about 10% of the time and almost never works in pvp. also just an FYU i have a +10 defence vs. KD armor tape and i still drop like a brick.

Tks in advance

i've also noticed that TKA knockdown rapes. theres not much you can do about it other then get uber leet KD defence. i hear that you need 60+ KD defence to do much vs their KD..

what i try to do vs TKA's is bleed them first so you are doing dmg to them even if your knocked down. stun baton works well too they usually wear ubese.. and buff the **edit** out of yourself?

the names Kennshin. and i deleted my wookiee character for respectable reasons.

VERY good post about how you should look at gaming

Food is the trick, I never miss a 20 second warcry, and by the end of 20secs if its not a tka the person should be dead. A TKA might take a further 20secs

Take food/drink when fighting, buffing secondaries so specials dont use any ham. Starting the fight just spam warcry until it sticks, cancel the queue, dizzy/kd, and kill them.

Vs. melee guys dizzy + lunge1 is way better because melee guys have very little defense vs posture change

Vs. range guys dizzy + lunge2 is best because 80% of the time you will probably knock them down

Get a Tailor/BE pair to make you a +25 Intimidate/Warcry set (Shirt and Bandolier if wearing full armor) to help those stick, it makes a big difference. Or you could go with 25 Stun/6 Melee Def for a little extra defense. I justdid Swordsman and am now doing Fencer (holo's), and +45 Intim/War (with Master Brawler) really helps it stick.

I think what you mean is that you need a good reason to keep Master Doctor. I doubt the person you're dueling is a TKM without any other skill pts spent.

To be honest... if all your gonna do is whine.. then leave.. we dont need you, HOWEVER if you do things like get tapes etc.. to help you you then you can stand toe to toe with them....

Heres my take on it. Okay if you are gonna be doing pvp then you have to go it seriously. ANY master melee skill is gonna get its ass handed to it with no supplement skills to beef it up. And before i get nailed to the wall for saying that Yes i admit tka has a distainct advantage with the whole KD move IF and i repeat IF you have no def vs KD. Heres the thing though, you take away the KD aspect from most tka's and you will incap in them in no time at all because the majority of tkas usually just spam kd until someone falls, then start stacking on either ua3 or head it until incap arrives. So beef up your def vs KD to eliminate that and all they usually do is keep spamming the move and wonder while you arent falling while you beat them to death.

Point 2 Use your CoB its helps to an insane degree , if they cant hit you then they cant knock you down.

Right now my def vs kd is 80 and my def vs posture change is 90 , and once im done with my character each will be 10 more than that. While testing with a guildmate tkm he kd'd me ONCE out of 10 times and he posture changed me ZERO times out of 15 attempts. Its all about how you wanna play your character , if you want to be formidable in pvp you have to dedicate the majority of your skill points to it. Being master of just one melee prof isnt good enough for serious battle.

Just my two creds anyways , and excuse the typos.

/agree with John I have a total for 70 Def to KD right now and pretty much watch TK's spam there dizzy KD move the whole fight nvr going down.. some get smart and quit others dont.. granted I do get knocked down sometimes but even then with CombatEQ im down maybe 2 seconds. I have had people tell me im a cheater b/c I get up so fast but there are guys out there with even Higher mods than me. I dont think many serious pvpers are doctors anyway, buffs sell for 5k on my server thats pocket change and keeps you from investing all those points into Doctor yourself. However if your happy with Doc/Fencer then stay that, just dont expect to beat someone who has probaly boosted there melee skills with other classes def. mods.

Drop Master Doctor, pickup Master Brawler. I have no issues with TK.

Why don't you just master TKA and Fencer?

It sounds to me like plenty of fencer/doctors do well in PvP. But with Doctor you're using a lot of skill points (140, I believe) that could go directly toward fighting abilities. It's 28 points alone just for medical crafting skills.

I supsect the most hardcore PvP players buy buffs or get them from guildmates, so most of their skillpoints can go toward securing another elite combat profession or two.

I don't know what's considered a great PvP template, but I would think Fencer/Doctor is more of a PvE template. Buff yourself, heal yourself, pick up and go whenever you want. Or maybe it's a support PvP template, or maybe you just like being able to buff people. In either case, maybe it's not great for one on one duels.
