I think any new weapons with low mind and average health/action will be welcome. I personally would like to see a rapier as an elite weapon. In western civilization real rapiers were the elite, most technologically advanced one hadned weapon, if you were stabbed by a rapier, you would die.Katanas or other asian influenced weapons would be cool as well.


With the Rapier, make it an elite weapon, armor piercing 2, kinetic dmg, high dmg (500), lowHAM and fast. Yes I am asking for a lot, but a master fencer should know where to stick an armored opponent (weak points of the armor). I am asking for it to be the highest dmg fencer weapon, not the highest dmg weapon in game. For balance (not sure how it will work) but rapiers are thrusting weapons, prevent AOE attacks with it, that is where Katanas and batons are useful. Situational weapons will greatly enhance the strategy aspect of the game.

I really like some of the ideas i'm seeing the situational weapons in the last post would be very interesting. I'd like to throw something different this is a one hand weapon style their are numerous other styles other then a fencer. So really any weapon could be used a heavier more damaging sword/axe with some ap would still be nearly as quick as a sleak slender weapon in the hands of a master. Maybe some sort of Hammer/Mace for some Blast Damage or have it enhanced some way so it does electricity, cold, or heat damage. It would be interesting if all of these weapon types where comperable to each other so no one would know what type of damage a individual fencer was doing.

I'm still in love with the idea of a sword in each hand. Some suggested having a fencer sword and a 2 handed hammer, but that won't work. The 2 handed hammer, is well, meant to be held with 2 hands. And having 2 gad batons or 1 and a sword would be kinda silly. Let's get the 2 swords, but keep it just for swords and in the fencer line, no having to master brawler or stuff like that. You can do this in KOTOR, so why not here?


Also, I would love to see the vibro sword introduced as new sword. Make it avail to master fencers or very high up. Taht way we have soem weapon to work towards and only masters or high up can use it and get it's adv. We def need a new weapon, we only have like 3 viable weapons and barely any AP weapons (1 if i remember right?) and it doesn't even do that much dmg.

Technically, I don't see why you can not equip 2 weapons (other professions use both hands in there animations). Other games were able to do this. Just code the sword and parrying dagger (or any other wepoan combo you like) as a single item. Thus you can not pick and choose, only a certain combo will work together, that must be crafted as a single item, equiping it equips both from an art perspective, but still only used one set of coding for the stats/attributes of the weapon. Give the item a stat boost like block +10 or what ever the benefit would be. The purpose of weilding two weapons in melee is not dmg, but defense or confusion (never knowing which side the attack will come from). This would require some balance with polearm and 2-h though and unarmed. If we can use two hands, why can't unarmed equip two sets of vibroknucklers? or a 2-h equiping two smaller lighter true swords? Or a polearm using the bow (two short staffs). May require us, 2-h and polearm to be renamed/defined. 1-h being the light weapons, 2-h being heavier weapons, and polearms being non bladed weaponsor staff weapons.

Retract all 2-H statements above, lol. 2-H weapons are 2-H because they are too massive to be weilded effeciently as a 1-h weapon. Also, with the bow (short staffs) they are used in more of a 1-h sword style, so I guess the pikeman would be fine also how tehy are. So the only classes that could benefit would be pistoleers, fencers and TKM.

I think a rapier would be nice. It should have low HAM cost,moderatedamage and be very fast. I dont think giving it armor pearcing would be a good idea. However to make it interesting, give it an inate health bleed, nothing too overpowered but make it usefull in combat.



A vibro sword would be nice as well. It should have a higher HAM cost than the rapier, quite a bit slower but have AP1 and higher damage



Anthingfencery would be nice though

IMO, I think we should have more swords and knifes...


The HAM dispersal should be on Health and Action only

The best changes would be simple ones.

Adjust the cert postions in the tree. Make the Rantok our best weapon. Place it in the Finesse Line. The damage should be similar to a Gaffi stick. But the HAM costs are very very low. I typically use a Gaffi, Stun baton and a Vibroblade. I wish the Rantok was more then a fancy looking junk sword.

Our speed is fine, our defenses are good, but lets make rantoks worth having. A light AP would be nice. The Rantok seems to have little thorns/spikes on it. If we had a better main kinetic damage weapon I think the profession would be improved greatly.

Here is my opinion:


1) Lower HAM cost! Like one previous post said, we are supposed to be fast and precise killers, not get incapped swinging our swords/batons. TK's are precise killing machines with little/no HAM cost.. not saying we should be that low but lower than what it is now.


2) New Swords: Such as a vibro-rapier, vibro-long sword, as well as vibro-sabers. Why all the vibro?? Well, since there appears to be a pattern of one-hand weps not doing the heavy dam that others have, and how we have only 2 state effect changing skills (blind and dizzy) why not have more of an option for armor peircing?

yeah im only a novince fencer but i like the weapons we have accpet ranged attcks really sux for us but the 2 ideas for weapons i have is teh Vibro Sword Like in knights of the old Rebulic better of course.


AND FOR THE BRAWLER TREE I THINK THEY SHOULD ADD LIKE A KNIFE THROWER I THINK THAT WOULD BE ESPICALLY COOL. THROWING KNIVES NOT TO BAD,

im thinking we should 2 duel swords both help backwords. And allow tailors to make sheaths for them to go on ur back. When these r equiped u go from a lame fencer (even thougth fencer in this game rox) to mor eof a ninja.


certification should either be master or finesse 4

Just my opinion but with them making a hard cap on defenses that hurts fencer more then any other melee. They really need to make all our weaponsso this is what i think they need to do.


1. Make all our weapons light ap ( with exception of stun baton ).

this will help tobalance us in pvp and make it tolerable to play pve.... trying to fight monsters with no ap weapons is a

nightmare.I know we have vibro blade but that is just to bad of a weapon.
