I think we should be masters of state effects, dizzy, stun, blind etc we hit light and fast. I like the hamstring idea as well as parry but I what I really want more then anything is a goddamm sword rather then a stick or baton!

I cannot wait to duel wield my gaffi sticks. I think that would be awesome. But a Main Gouche would also look cool. And yes, I have actually fought with Main Gouche, and duel swords. Not very easy, but you can do some really cool things with it.

Fencers in my mind are quick, agile, and strike in a very precise way. In that understanding they should be very good at dodging and counter attack. They should not be able to land large amounts of damage, but should be able to successfully land just about any state on just about any critter or person. In a group strategy the fencer could be the nearly untouchable tank slowing down the creatures responses with crazy state penetration and evades while other classes lay big damage. I think they have come pretty close to doing this. I would just beef the state application up a bit more and drop the damage a little. We should also be able to knock a target down.

Before we do attacks, 2 issues need to be dealt with, you already know what they are.


1. Currently defense does not matter nearly enough. With good Armor, Buffs, and medic skills, you don't need defense to handle the majority of the game content. This negates one of our strongest advantages.


2. Speed cap of course. Obviously, it's not fair that the larger weapons swing as fast as we do, but it goes even beyond that. When other classes get a weapon sliced, of course they may PREFER a damage or speed slice, but if they get the other, it isn't total junk. In the case of a Fencer, a speed slice really doesn't so all that much for you. This becomes very annoying when all you get on your Ackley bone batons are speed slices.


Now for attacks.


Did any of you see the movie Troy? I was very impressed with the one move that Achilles uses where he jumped through the air and fast as hell, stabbed with his sword. He looked like a snake striking. If you saw the movie, you know what I mean. Give us an attack that has some type of AP ability, but takes us a second to recover from. Make it look like that.


Replace our blind hit with a knockdown. Make me put my foot behind yours, and hit you in the face with my baton. Now you fall down. I can hardly ever get my posture change to work, hardly probably isn't strong enough. Even against people without posture change defenses, it never seems to work. Yet even with just Unarmed Knockdown 1, can usually pretty easily do it. The knockdown is the main reason I took up TKA.


Of course fix our area attacks.

Fencer needs.... more weapons on the actual fencer trees
The stun baton needs to be mover up say fencer 0002
and a new _sword_ should be put on novice...
also as you get higher up you get a nice high level sword that requires
skill to use... maybe master fencer..

swords should be ap1

Attacks... yes, stun would be nice
mind hit cetrainly
KD...no dont be lazy and master brwaler
scatter hit 2 needs to be looked at maby hits all pools but medium damage

as a masterdoc/masterfencer the profession is good we dont need a kd we have lungeone and dizzy2 area dizzy

make a macro that compines them both bam u have ur kd easy as that most people when they are kneeling i find will try to get up then

there on there back what we do need is to be able to have more speed with are weapions and duelwiled then this proffesion would easyly be up to par with all the other proffesions in this game dmg wise
