hwoever, before i left, I was tanking giant canyon krayts without a problem, now they are eating me alive.

COB was running, but I was not dodging at ALL.

anyone know if we got nerfed?

We didn't get nerfed. The accuracy on all high level mob's have been up'd to compensate for defense stackers.

Couple of quick questions....

Starting Macro for CoB
/alias ToggleCoB /macro COBOff;
/macro COBLoop

Where does COBLoop come from? None of the Macros are named that.

Also, do we need to type "/alias ToggleCoB /macro COBOn" everytime we sign on, or does this stick?

Thanks in advance.

Cool, thanks, I'll check the thread later too. Typing it everytimeI log inisstill better than typing/dump everytime I want to turn it off the loop.

Well I can answer one of your questions atm as I am at work and can not look at my macro list in game. You do have to type "/alias ToggleCoB /macro COBOn" everytime you sign on. I find it easier to macro that even so all I have to do is press a button to start it. As for the COBLoop I can not recall were it comes from, tonight when I get home I will look into it for ya, I beleive it really doesn't matter.

I'm having the same problem. Is it COBLoop or just CoB for the macro title?

I'm sorry I have been real busy in rl, when I get home tonight I will check my macros and post.

/macro COBLoop; COBLoop is replaced with what ever you named your main CoB macro. I'm sorry I didn't specify that before, I will update the original to explain it better.

After playing around with the toggle macro for a while, it really looks like you need to move the toggle macro and not theCoB macro to the toolbar. Otherwise, you'll just end up looping the CoB macro alone.

The /alias ToggleCoB /macro COBOn tempororaly turns ToggleCoB into COBOn, thus starting the loop.

i was wondering (since dodge is capped at 125) if i use air cake, will i get more than 125 dodge?
(for the people that don't know aircake, it's +dodge)

Air cake (and the other 2 'dodge' foods) do not add to dodge (the active defense of pistoleer and fencers), but are added to the general defenses forumla (which use melee and ranged defense). This was confirmed by a dev via the Chef corespondant.

There was not a direct dev answer on the player forums for this, but the Chef Correspondent, SciguyCo, asked on the Correspondent forums and received a reply which he posted:

The dodge bonus foods (Air Cake, Pikatta Pie, and Deneelian Fizz Pudding) are not actually giving a buff to the Dodge skill. What they do is add a bonus to the player's general defensive skills, which determines whether or not an attack hits at all.

These foods will not cause you to see "creature attacks you but you evade" in your combat spam. They should cause more attacks to miss you completely. If a hit occurs, then any evasion skills (dodge, counter, block) may trigger, but that is separate from the effect of the food.

Since the bonus is added to the defensive skills of the general to-hit formula, it benefits anyone being attacked, whether or not they have the dodge skill bonus gained in fencer and pistoleer.

The raw benefit you receive would depend on your existing defensive skills (melee/ranged defense, center of balance, etc) and the offensive skills of your attacker (weapon accuracy, bonus from posture, range modifier from weapon, etc). Someone with only 20 in defensive skills may see a large difference after eating a +20 Pikatta Pie. A master of an elite combat profession may see a smaller percentage increase in missed attacks since the Pie's +20 has a smaller contribution relative to their inherent defenses.

This is also located in the Chef's Sticky "questions for Devs, with answers as they come":

I Thought the Defense Acuity (DA)improved one's odds at successfully performing a dodge, block, or counter attack? Earlier in this thread someone wrote that CoB would improve dodge with a fencer weapon or DA with a VK? Umm...I didn't think DA did anything by itself? I thought it improved the dodge/block/counter attack?

Where am I going wrong? I'm pushing for BH 3 0 3 0, Pistoleer 4 0 0 0 (for the block) and master TKA for the Defense acuity to improve my dodge skills. Please don't tell me this grind is fruitless.

Thanks
