Issue: Fencer in PvE ( Ties in with Weapon AP )


Higher end content is very frustrateing for a fencer due to the AP0 on our effective weapons. Specials hitting for 50-100dmg. A viable way to get AP is needed, be it just in new weapons, or maybe a special move.

Issue: forced use of sticks rather than swords


Our "sword" weapons should have light ap, and our "stick" weapons should remain at no ap. This would help to offset damage and ham differences, and raise the value of a curved sword at master to compete with the gaffi stick.

Issue: Lack of decent Modifying Loot drops


Right now, the loot drops a fencer can use are basically vibromotors, acklay bones, and rancor teeth, and they immediately nerfed acklay bones, which should not have been done, given we already have limited damage as it is. We need loot drops that can seriously impact our weapons, and they need to be akin to krayt tissue - as in, they seriously upgrade the weapon, not just a small bump up. Or, even better, go back and make another pass on Rancor teeth, improving them so that they are useful, and for vibromotors, make it so that there are mobs that consistantly drop them like rancors drop teeth, and that the vibromotors are at least better than what can be crafted.

issue: unarmed combo1



the problem is this tka low lvl move is bugged. if you evade or dodge it still deals dmg to you without taking armor into account. the dmg goes straight through. if you center of being its twice as bad cause you are dodging and evading more. UNTIL this move is fixed, fencers dont have much of a chance against tkm's who spam it.




issue: 1hand toughness



tkms have ALOT more then us, i think our should be bumped up a little since our awesome bleeds that used to set us apart have been nerfed to hell

Issue: Armor Piercing


I concur that we need at least one armor piercing weapon, with decent attack stats, speed similar to stun batons, with damage similar to the Gaddi, even if it requires a higher cert level. Kinda sickening that our only ap weapon is available to brawlers at 1h2 or so.



Damage Types:


Kinetic and stun, not too bad, but without ap, the kinetic becomes worthless at higher levels, both pve and pvp



Other wishes: I'd love a spin attack posture change. We also need a "power" attack. 1h3 is not as good as our 1hspin attack which does dizzy, or our scatter hit, altho its our master level attack. Make it do significantly more damage, or add a multiple status effect to it, having it cause dizzy, stun, blind, and bleed dot at the same time (or randomly)





The dev team would never allow any kind of imbalance so that one group of people would "cut swaths" through crowds of people.

Issue: Variety of weapons


Throughout time the sword has been one of the most, if not the most prevalent weapon. It has certainly been the most abundant melee weapon throughout history. There need to be a vast variety of SWORDS not sticks.

Issue- New Weapon Damage Type and Armor Piercing



Description- Yes, we all know fencer is one of the most balanced professions out there, but nowadays everyone has 80% composite armor and all the combat professions are getting new weapons, including tk. So this means that fencer should get a new weapon because of lack of weapon variety and armor piercing.




Once a fencer always a fencer.




Training to become a master in the ways of a Fencer and Pikeman.

I'm just seconding, or thirding this. We have excellent defenses, and when combined with Pistoleer is the best in the game. However, these defenses do nothing against high-level mobs (such as the Corvette) or against any with high Accuracy. To offset this, I would like to be able to do damage against these high level mobs and any wearing a decent set of Composite, with an adequate AP1 weapon. The Vibroblade does not cut it.
