I played around with this for awhile, but found that if it didn't stick due to being attacked, it blows your rhythm completely. There's ways around it, but I found it just easier doing it manually. Besides, keeps me on my toes.

I've heard some of these moves don't work if you have an auto-attack selected. Not sure but it might be worth trying, I just haven't been online to try.

Exactly, people need to start using all commands manually, because at the end of of May - recursive macros will not exist.

Same here, can't understand why it's so hard to do a CoB macro, but like i said, there is no reason to use - besides all recursive macros will be gone at the end of may.

I've not seen any kind of pattern with my use of CoB. Some sessions, it works like a charm. CoB, fight, fight, fight, CoB, fight, fight, fight....etc. The best times, it fails occasionally - not enough to get you killed, but enough to make your heart pump a little bit faster and for you to concentrate a bit harder. But then tonight, three different hostiles took me out and my CoB didn't deploy once. Not once. Tonight, I was pissed.

The one time I counted, I hit CoB six times and it never took, and this was after dying one regeneration before because I couldn't get CoB to work. I don't know why I kept trying as I kept getting hit - maybe I was just not believing that the Law of Averages wouldn't kick in on the next effort. By then, I was too far ravaged to be able to come back. I tried, but in solo, I was a goner. If we have to rely on CoB to stay alive, one would think that it would be a fairly reliable skill. I mean, c'mon - what self repecting profession in any genre bases its very survival on something that could not be predicted or used with any confidence?

(sorry about the empty post before... why the heck can't you edit a post you've made anymore? or am I just blind?)

Did you see any system messages explaining why it failed? A patch or two ago they claimed this feature was in, but I have not seen any in any window (combat, system, etc) explaining why stuff fails when it fails.

Sorry for not replying sooner. No, I got no message saying why it had failed. It just didn't work - and I was dead. As simple as that.

That agrees with my observation, that we do not get a system message explaining why it failed (despite patch notes to the contrary).
