Thread: Fencer Weapon Rebalance 2.0 revisions made.
Guys, I think FURY brought up a great point, in that we have no idea how the combat rebalance will affect our current weapons. That means there really isn't a point right now in having new weapons brought in until the rebalance.
So, I have a suggestion:
would you guys be willing to hold on the new ideas for weapons, and in exchange, see if we can get the Rantok and the Ryyk moved to AP 1, even if it means we have to move the certs up for them?
At least that way, the devs already have the weap and just need to change a setting, and the damage for them can be left as is. Plus, it would get more AP 1 weapons to us quicker, and if it unbalances the game, it would be a quick fix to put it back to AP 0.
I say both Ryyk and Rantok because we then would have a balance of AP for our swords - AP 0 = Sword and Curved, AP 1 = Ryyk and Rantok. Even to get one changed would be a victory.
What do you guys say?
Someone suggested making the master sword have a wider damage range. I thing the range should be tight. If only masters can use it. I should be more consist on the amount of damage it does. Novice may have great hits ( high end damage) and bad hits ( low end damage ) a master should be able to eye slot your armor ( or what ever weakness he sees in your armor) and hit it, excecally with this finellymade blade.
The other point I saw was about , instead of a DOT on the master sword they were talking about stat enhancements. This is a master sword. What can you give a master fencer that he is not maxed out on already ? The devs have said that the 125 cap it temperary until they do the revamp for combat. If the cap is lifted than sure +dodge and to hit would not hurt. otherwise the DOT.

After reviewing how mitigation works, I think a tighter range would be preferable as well.

In a word, no.
The point of a Master Blade is to keep it down in terms of production and unique to each fencer. Lightsabers aren't tradeable, and neither should a master fencer weapon be.
