Thread: Please explain how TKM is more powerful than Fencer

I beat any tkm with my fencer IF the tkm is stupid enough to not use intimidate. While im in CoB he barely lands a single hit on me, plus i allways get my enemies blinded in duels. Also, if i do get KDed, in lets say a big pvp battle, im in 70% ubese, fully buffed, tkms are ALLWAYS stupid enough to spam hit3 all the freakin time! He spreads the damage all over my bars, therefor not incapping me, and when i get up its whooopy time! But agreed TKA is an overpowerd class, but i think its about how you use your template aswell. You cant win a duel with a title

Those 2 dont match, and TKM isnt overpowered, Fencer just needs a base knockdown, and TKA needs to be fixed (Their defenses dont work, like COB, they do NOT need another damage type)

I dunno about you but this is about the most OFF statement I've ever heard.


When you have all your stats migrated to depend on buffs, PB is useful in that you don't have to find a doctor if something comes up fast, you just need 1 min's time and you're ready to go.My HAM is 450/450/1100. With Pb it's 1000/1000/1650, AND my secondaries are still in place to armor up. How many other classes can get stats like this without food/spice/buff? Also, the extra 1/2 mind is excellent. Then, if you tack on Pixie or Muon + foods + drinks...well you're almost as good as a doctor buff!

TKA gets alot more melee and ranged defense then fencer, but fencer gets dodge bonnusses.


And speed does matter the specials of tka are much faster, unarmed combo hits 5-8 times in a row. also tka has more combat equilibrium so it can react better on attacks.







No sir you are wrong... I am a tkm and our defences suck... you must be fighting some hella buffed tka's because if you cannot beat a tkm with a fencer you suck.. trust me on this.. combat equilibrium doesnt work... your kd defence does.. tka specials are not faster.. it is he who hits the first kd that wins usually unless his kd fails and yours doesnt.. atm cob for tka doesnt work ranged defence doesnt work.. and fencer gets wayyyyyyyyy better ranged defence.. all tka has that you do not is melee toughness and that stacks with melee mitigation..


look man tka is not the over powered warlords that you guys make them out to be.. im one of the oldest in the game and certainly older than anyone on bria now..


you just have to know how to fight them...


Get brawler mastery put em to a knee and warcry2 then dizzy2 then lunge 2 and its all over for the tka.. combat equilibrium is supposed to allow players to recover from dizzy and stance attacks it doesnt... kd defence actually works for a fencer coupled with your cob wich does work.. put the black dildo of doom in your hand for the armored tka and its all over man...


Tka get no different damage types.. they do get head punches which wins them fights vs buffed opponents but in no way is tka overpowered..


play the game as long as i have and experiment as i have and you will see


I am going fencer now i master tka and brawler and im rounding out my character with fencer.. most likely you are being beaten by higher damage outputs because you are not buffed as most tka are and because you are not using your cob.. dont forget head gear too btw

Actually as a 2/0/3/2 TK I can handle at least 5 tusken guards by my self. I found this out at the tusken bunker when all my group went LD and I was left to kill 5 tusken guards by my self. I did have to use a little strategy though... I was a Master Medic and a Zabrak, soI healed myself whever I got low on health or action, and then when I got low on mind I just hit Equilibrium to get over half my mind pool back.







thats because you can heal yourself you can do the same thing with fencer man.. stop tryin to make yourself look like pity me im a fencer...


if every profession was the same on all planes of the game then everyone would be the same profession... most people are only grinding tka out for holocrons... when that craze is over you will see that fencers have the upperhand as far as defence goes and can out last a tka (this is on an even keel here no buffs)

Fencer was my most favorite profession to play, and i've tried almost all of them. I liked it so much I even mastered it, and i don't do that very often when i'm trying something. Just don't incap yourself with your specials...if you have 75%+ kinetic armor and buffs you rule the melee world, so don't complain about how powerful TKM's are when you fight an armored one with your gaffi stick. Honestly, it's all about the weapon choices and the moves you use....be smart and you'll never lose to a TKM in a duel or in PvP.

I did a test with a friend of mine that was a holo TKM no dabbling whatsoever, at the time i was a master Fencer/master Pistoleer no armor on either of us. We just did a standard duel no specials and i used my highest wounding weapon the ryyk and my gaffi baton, I on average was hitting for 20-25 a hit and wounding him quite a bit, he on the other hand was hitting me for 80+ damage a hit and was wounding my EVERYtime for at least 20-30 wounds each hit some hits were higher then that. And he was hitting my mind bar the hardest with no specials, at the end of the duel i had twice the wounds he did but he had had twice the battle fatigue.


I dodged maybe 1 out of every 6-8 hits. I think it is the unarmed damage mod that allow 3 times more damage per hit. I dont really see how a tka with a vk that has max damage of 150 can produce 4 times the damage of a gaffi baton with max 300 damage. Also the tka have better range then any other melee. They also have force of will and self buffingpower boost. I had alot of faith in Fencer till that day, i have been a fencer since the first week of release, i just dropped Blademaster and most of fencer yesterday. I know there is alot more strategy involved in pvp then having the most powerful profession, but tka is superior to any other melee for numerous reasons. With the upcoming changes to combat and defense stacking things will be better im sure but I remember intimidate completely removes all nonpassive defenses like dodge and such, so fencer defenses dont add up to much in the end.

Ok, Everything red is wrong. I will breifly tell why. If you were doing 20-30 damage, youmight consider throwing away that P O S Gaffi you got off a Tuskin Commoner and getting a decent one. As for Tkm's damage, thats correct.



Dodged 1/6-8? You must just be nerfed. 4x Our gaffi damage? Your insane skipjack. Spittings do about 500 on my server, Cho does 800, YOU DO THAT MATH lol.


Tk is superior to any other meele? Yeah, Right, I will remember that, as I laugh at them for spamming them-self to death. A, they get kinetic dmg, thats it, B, they get no bleed (This is not a valid point rightnow, but it was a previous one, so negate it if you want) C, if they cant knock you down, they dont have a chance.



Intimidate, it doesnt remove dodge and all that stuff, duno where you heard that b-s. I dodge intimidated quite alot, what it DOES do is knock the damage you do down, a TON. If you dont intimidate in a fight that will not be over in 3 seconds, then you are "Probaly" not very smart, and "Probaly" lose alot.



There is my "Corrections" for your post, bruzin, do read over them carefully, if you need more help, I can show you on Bria, Heck, I can assign my apprentice Sparten to show you, and he can barly speak english. Sorry man, spamming Bodyhit3 wont win you many fights at all these days, and unstyled combat, wth is that, besides from slow, boring, and completly pointless?

Uh , you guys just need to learn how to PvsP vs a TKM. First of all, wear armor...TKMs attacks do very little against high kenetic defense (tks can only use kenetic damage) unless they are using a vibroknuckler (ap1). In that case, their VK will kill them faster than you will, with the huge amount of HAM it eats up. Just CoB and watch them kill themselves. If you're buffed especially, you'll be nearly invisible becausethey wont be able to kill you with your high dodge amount.


If you're fighting against a TKM and don't have armor on, watch out. Those hits sting. The minute you throw armor on laugh as their fists bounce off you.

Fencer has some good attacks 2 but i think tka will always be the best in pvp imo.


anyways if you go master tka and master fencer, and you are going to fight like a fencer in pvp then fencer will beat a tka

Ok Vincent since you seemintent on showingeverybody how smart you are, why dont you test it out yourself. Ido apologize if my post sounds like whining that was not its intention. If the number im posting for tkm damageis correct why would i lie about my damage,I mention it cause i found it kinda silly. The gaffi baton i was using for the test was a damaged sliced gaffi and powered up it had max damage of 300 min was in the 120 range I think.


And yes I dodged once in about 6-8 hits, again no reason for me to lie about this a tkm is very accurate so i did dodge but not nearly as much as I do against a mob.


I do believe the request in the title of the thread was explain how TKMis more powerful than Fencer.I just tried to explain it a little bit if you look at it without armor and no strategy. But you insist on insulting me and resort to name calling, yeah you can wear 80% kinetic resist composite and use your stun baton....to level the playing field.And if you dont think TKM is better then other melee's go play pikeman and swordsman thenenlighten us.


But hey Im stupid, just trying totell aboutmy experience with the topic, but if it makes you feelmore superiorjust remember I didnt graduate from middle school so your friend probably speaks better english then me.


Im going to looking into Intimidate a little bit more, yeah thanks for pointing outit makes you do less damage since everyone figures that out the first day of brawler.


I'll direct you to my post on the bria forums asking about intimidate, read the 4th post by Serenius its a small explanation of how intimidate and tka works a little bit. He has far more experience with PVP then you do and prides himself on know the mechanics of the game.

Know, my fighting history Proves it.



And i have tested it, you dont do some 30 odd damage to a TKM without armor, and if your gaffi was 120-300, you have a gimp'd gaffi, I suggest stop using Novice Weaponsmith-expirmented gaffi batons, and get a real one. Once I finish this stupid holo and have fencer back, il gladly prove it to you, since you play on Bria as well.

I dont know about your servers, but in my server, fencer is king... everyone has kenetic armor but stun? the highest anyones ever gotten on stun resist is i think 38%, kenetic is well into the 80's and with a PS... forget about it. My poor TKM got blasted halfway to hell. Dont get me wrong, TKM is great in some situations, awesome at PVE, but for those with decked out Kenetics, were screwed.
